Yeah, I think the fact that LeBron is waiting until after his camp to decide on where he's going is only good news for us.

Regardless, I think Wade should be priority number one right now. Lock him up in the next couple of days and move on from there.

I too think the Bulls are going to get shut out of Bosh, Wade and LeBron, we're going to end up with Lee or Boozer or both.

FisolaNYDN: The NY Daily News has learned that Knicks got a second meeting with LeBron's reps on Saturday in Cleveland.

My optimism is taking a beating today. Hopefully I'm reading too much into things.

@FisolaNYDN LeBron did not attend the second meeting with the Knicks.

Yeah I really doubt he'd skip the meeting if he really wanted to go there.

According to league source, Knicks are planning another trip to Cleveland to meet with LeBron tonight.

The sense is the Knicks have different outlook since getting to brink with Amar'e and have a new pitch to sell they didn't have on Thursday.

Knicks fans may want to kill this messenger, but multiple sources still say NY still trailing CLE, CHI, NJ on LeBron's list even w/ Amar'e

In case all y'alls weren't tired of this yet:

chadfordinsider Just spoke to Knicks president Donnie Walsh. He said no meeting tonight with LeBron James. Link and larger story coming ...

chadfordinsider Walsh: "We don't have any other meetings scheduled with LeBron. I'm in NY. Unless someone is there without my knowledge, no, we're done."

and

Dwyane Wade began the free-agency period in Chicago, holding meetings with the Bulls and Nets on Thursday and the Knicks on Friday. But it was a second meeting with the Bulls on early Friday evening that has everyone reassessing where Wade stands.

Wade met with the Bulls for a second time on Friday, but left the meeting without making a formal commitment to the Bulls.

The 2½-hour meeting included the Bulls' front office, Wade and his agent Henry Thomas.

"Things are getting very interesting," Wade said after the meeting.

...

However, a source close to Wade told me that other factors, both basketball and personal, have Wade seriously considering leaving Miami for Chicago.

Wade had dinner with Bosh in Chicago on Thursday night and according to the source, one topic of discussion was the advantages of playing with the Bulls versus the Heat.

The Bulls [already] have several key players including Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah in place. If the Bulls can work out a deal to ship Luol Deng's contract out of town, they would have the funds to add James or Bosh to the puzzle, too.

Wade also has multiple ties to Chicago -- a home and family, including his mother, a pastor whose church in the city was purchased for her by her son. But far and way the most important consideration is his two children Zaire and Zion. Wade is recently divorced and the custody of his children is still up in the air. There are concerns that, given the frequent travel tied to being a NBA player, he won't be able to spend quality time with his children during the season if he doesn't stay in Chicago.

As of Sunday night, they still aren't sure where they stand.

"I have no idea," Walsh said. "I think that almost all of these guys have been tight about what their intentions are. All the meetings we had were really good. They were informative. But I didn't get an indication in what their interest was. The agent would say they're interested. And that's where we are. We are waiting to hear. With those guys you can afford to be a little patient."

Walsh did confirm that the Knicks' sent assistant GM Glen Grunwald to Cleveland for a second meeting with LeBron's agent, Leon Rose, on Saturday. But he said the meeting was just to clarify the team's cap situation both this year and the next.

"We didn't get into it in our first meeting the way we wanted to," Walsh said. "We just wanted to make sure they had all the information."

...

ESPN.com learned Sunday the second meeting was also to clarify exactly where New York stood in regards to signing free agent Amare Stoudemire. James' representatives wanted to know whether it was true that the Knicks had already formally offered Stoudemire a contract.

Walsh also said reports of a deal with Stoudemire are premature.

"He spent the weekend in N.Y. with his agent," Walsh said. "He went to some baseball games. [Coach] Mike [D'Antoni] met with him today to talk basketball and some personal issue this morning. We're meeting with him tomorrow. We haven't sat down and talked contract [with] him at all."

I'm feeling pretty good about Wade's interest in Chicago. It seems he is thinking this over pretty strongly because of them.

You have to imagine he's having a hard time thinking about what he would say to his kids in a few years when he picked Miami and seeing them less when he could have picked Chicago and been around him more.

This is pretty cool stuff...I mean...this could go anywhere from the Bulls being completely shut out, to them having their pick of the litter...

There was a promo on the Score today talking about how the Score would cover all this Lebron stuff, and how it could potentially be the biggest free agent pick up in Chicago sports history. My initial reaction, as will all "best ever" type discussions is to be skeptical, but I'm not not thinking of anything bigger of the top of my head. Re-signing our own guys doesn't count of course...

Only thing I can think of that's close would be Dawson.

If we're talking offseason pickups in general Jay Cutler is by far the biggest.

I don't know that Marian Hossa pickup is looking mighty fine....

But that was a trade...this was specifically free agent signings.

But the two I gave are really the only important ones. What else besides the fact that Cleveland is home and he was injured in the playoffs would make him think they can win there? I guess a 6 year deal that only Cleveland can give since the Cavs don't want to sign and trade.

What else, besides bringing in Chris Bosh, would make him think he can win in Chicago?

Derrick Rose?
