Bucher is an idiot.

Absolutely shocking that you say this after he thinks it's possible or likely that the Bulls get shut out.

It's just like the idiot Iowa fans who freak out when someone like Jesse Palmer says something negative about Iowa. Then he's an idiot who just wants attention and has no clue what he's talking about. But some goof like Mark May is "classy and does his homework" because he loves Ferentz. I'm going to laugh when LeBron signs with the Cavs and I read you saying that LeBron doesn't care about winning and will never win anything.

No really, Ric Bucher is an idiot

Yep and so is Jesse Palmer and Mark May.

It might be true. Cleveland's roster is as good as it's going to get right now. Their cap situation is pretty grim over the next few years, so there's not much room for improvement. LeBron should know this, too.

obviously there are no guarantees, but really, if he goes back to cleveland, winning won't be the primary reason, right? i mean, if he didnt have ties to cleveland, would they even be in the discussion anymore?

that being said, i still think he resigns with the cavs.

he's going to go back to cleveland because he's in the truman show and everyone there, by which i mean 10-15 fat, white people and ugly white kids as he drives by, holds up signs that say "home".

He's consistently won 60 games in Cleveland, which is in any given year good enough to contend for a championship. But no, the Bulls are the only path to the one true championship.

I don't know about that. The Cavs are designed to win 60 regular season games because they can ride LeBron, but when it comes to the playoffs they are not a great playoff team. They don't have enough secondary offensive weapons.

Obviously LeBron in a best-case scenario wants to stay in Cleveland. LeBron might be telling himself that the Cavs did get him some help with Jamison, and if he hadn't had a bum elbow they could have won a championship this year and just might next year. That's the only real reason LeBron could justify staying there.

there's about 30,000,000 other reasons why LeBron could justify staying there, too.

Bucher is an idiot because he's an idiot. "Kobe Bryant played his last game as a Laker" was exactly his finest hour. I didn't call him an idiot because the Bulls MIGHT strike out, cause I know the Bulls MIGHT strike out, I call him an idiot he takes the simplest info he gets and turns it into a full blown story regardless if that little nugget of info is true or not. I know he isn't the only one that does it, because they all do and that is why they are idiots.

And maybe James will stay in Cleveland, but it would fly against a lot of James' motives. Look if James stays in Cleveland, I will respect the man for remaining loyal, but this is also his career, and he must put that above "loyalty". (Loyalty is an overplayed card in todays sports, imo) If he returns to Cleveland he needs to make it as a business decision, not an emotional decision. The Cavs are a 60 win team, not because they are actually good, cause they are not, they are a 60 win team because of James.

And if the rumors are true that Phil Knight said if Lebron signs with Chicago he'll make James the richest contract in Nike history, that can more then make up for the $30 mill he would leave on the table. I don't think money is the issue with James, seeing as he is going to get a boatload whereever he goes. I think the issue is playing for championships

But the two I gave are really the only important ones. What else besides the fact that Cleveland is home and he was injured in the playoffs would make him think they can win there? I guess a 6 year deal that only Cleveland can give since the Cavs don't want to sign and trade.

What else, besides bringing in Chris Bosh, would make him think he can win in Chicago?

That can only be good for the Bulls (if you want to read anything into it that way...it'd be wise not to).

Broussard (don't believe anybody about anything regarding James) believes the quicker the decision the better it is fr Cleveland. The later is draws out the better the chances at him leaving. And with him pushing his decision to after his camp, can't be seen as anything more then a positive for the Bulls.

Yeah, announcing that you've officially decided to leave right before, or during, a 3-day PR friendly event in your hometown wouldn't be the best idea...

Well, he has asked you to stop doing that with his posts and I'd appreciate it if you respected that request.

I realize this is NSBB so these aren't actual humans we're watching but automatons that don't feel pressure or spurious notions of clutch but there is a difference between the regular season and the playoffs. They can't win the in the playoffs with those guys.
