jordan-esque

i don't really get the point of these comments. people have this memory of jordan who would singlehandedly will his team to victory in the playoffs - and yes, he usually took the last shot - but he had good players around him and that's why they won. lebron has mediocre players around him and doesn't win. maybe he's not as good as jordan but it's dumb to denigrate him against a guy who clearly had a better supporting cast.

No Truffle, he actually did singlehandedly will his team to victory. He walked on the court with 3 seconds left down by 2, and the women swooned, the men kissed his feet, and he calmly knelt at 3/4 court and swished it. Blindfolded. Doing it all with the confidence of somebody who's done it 1000 times before. BECAUSE HE HAD. After the shot he went over shook his opponents hands and told them to buck up, tomorrow is another day. Besides it's just sports after all. He casually exited the arena with his loving wife at his side and went home to hear about how her and the kids' day went. Cause that's just how Michael was.

Agreed, MJ is the best there was and ever will be. Case closed, sonnies.

i see that phil jackson is up to his usual douchebag antics again

And if the refs don't listen to what Phil says, then this might actually be a fair series. It seems to me that the older Phil gets the more dependant on help from the refs he needs.

Actually the older Kobe gets, the more dependant on referees Phil gets.

It's news to me. I'm fortunate. I don't know if I've been called for a carry yet. I've never heard anyone accuse me of carrying it. I mean, the best coach in the league, Gregg Popovich, didn't have a problem with it last week.

that was pretty much the perfect response... good work steve.

As a Lakers fan, I thought that was hilarious.

Orlando finally plays a real basketball team and they lose Game 1 at home and trailed by 10+ for most of the game before making a late run.

What a minute...............there's still playoffs?

Well colour me surprise with all the Lebron James talk that there is still playoffs going on.

With the emotional win and finishing off of Lebron's Cavs, I'm not surprise to see Boston ride the momentum to a Game 1 win. But I expect Howard to make Perkins his bitch in Game 2 as Orlando should take that game.

Someone please tell me there's going to be a GIF of Paul Pierce winking at the camera. That was the funniest thing involving Paul Pierce since the time he was stabbed in the face.

Neither of the conference finals will make it past five games. Boring.

Yeah, it's looking like ANOTHER Celtics/Lakers Finals. Not that I will watch a minute of that Finals, if it comes to pass, but still....I was hoping for a Suns/Magic Finals.

Why wouldn't you watch Celtics/Lakers? What's not intriguing about that?

I shouldn't be laughing at that as much as I am. Well played, sir.

That series is about as intriguing as wet cement drying. At least season 2 Dexter is finally coming in on Netflix, so I got something more interesting watch.

Ya know, it's really not fair that there's virtually no footage of Jay Williams crashing his motorcycle from which I could MSPaint Derrick Roses's face on to.

Only if you have Bias and Lewis snorting a giant mountain of coke off in the corner.
