I find it hard to believe the Sharks haven't committed a single penalty in 2 periods.

Is it just me or does it seem like the best strategy for beating Niemi is to take more shots from the point? I feel like a majority of the goals he gives up are when he's screened theres a good shot on net from the point.

 

Throughout the playoffs I feel like he's done good on most loose, not all, pucks around the net.

 

Of course the downside of more shots from the outside is that the hawks are a ridiculously good team at blocking shots with their bodies.

 

Either way, that's one of the best periods of hockey I've seen out of a blackhawks goaltender all year.

True. I just feel like these things tend to even out. I can't see the Hawks getting called on 1-2 penalties in the 3rd and having the penalties finish 6-0 in favor of SJ.

I think it's interesting that NBC says Chicago has "attempted" more shots 52-50, even though fewer have gotten on goal.

It seems to me like the Hawks have made a conscious effort to be overly physical at times this game. Eager has spent more time on the ice than I'm accustomed to and has been flying around throwing hits when he's on the ice.
