If Seabrook gets to the net 0.5 seconds later, we're going to OT right now.

That doesn't mask the fact that the Flyers completely outplayed us and are in complete control of the series. If I'm a betting man, the Flyers are the prohibitive favorites right now.

What game were watching tonight? Extend that 3rd period and the Hawks get 3 more- easy.

keith is our third best defensive defensemen

Terrible play but I disagree. He had a solid game and has been solid this series on both ends in my opinion.

i'm talking about in general. seabrook and hjalmarsson both played better defense than keith this season. the amount of turnovers he makes is insane

I think the Hawks may have finally found they're legs, couple of bad turnovers and lucky bounces against them, they outplayed the Fylers this game.

They out played the Flyers in the 1st period which is ironically where the Flyers built their margin of victory. I think it was even/slight edge to the Flyers in the 2nd, and Flyers in the 3rd. I don't see where the Hawks outplayed the Flyers.

That's easy to say and hard to do. When the other team is sitting on a lead, every team looks great.

Then you would be the type of betting man that Vegas loves.

If you think the Flyers deserve prohibitive favorite type odds you are high off your ass.

Vegas doesn't care, they make money no matter who bets on what. The spreads are insane.

But yeah, Flyers win this series with little doubt.q

Vegas loses/wins inordinate sums of money on botched odds all of the time. If some momentum betters want to push the odds way out of wack on the Flyers they'll let 'em. It won't happen though.

LOL, fake rally.

Can't blame puck luck, we got plenty. Can't blame refs, they handed us a 5-on-3 and the penalties mostly evened out.

We just flat-out lost to a team that is going to win two more.

Evened out? It was 6-3 in favor of the Flyers I think

5-3 while the game was in doubt, and the 5-on-3 plus additional time after the goal counted as one long one.

Even though the game was technically in doubt, I don't really count the penalties called on the Flyers when they were up 3 goals.

Three bad, bad defensive breakdowns negated what was, on the whole, a good showing for the Hawks in terms of puck possession. The PP disparity really killed momentum completely during the first two periods, but the Hawks really weren't dominated in today's game.

On the season you're right. This series Hammer has been dragged down by playing with Sopel more than normal and had the awful 1st period tonight. Duncan has had a solid series.

At least Campbell had a good game again tonight. And Boynton didn't wet the bed.

Puck luck, as described above, really did favor the Flyers tonight.

- A shot that got through Leighton, but PING'd the post

- NUMEROUS bad clearances from CHI

- NUMEROUS mishandled passes or complete whiffs on shots and passes by the Blackhawks

- A couple of PHI's goals came on perfect setup passes or deflections from CHI players

&

- Despite the 5-on-3 late and numbers of penalties on both sides, it was still questionable overall and in the Flyers' favor most the night, and last game too

Add all that up, and you get a 5-3 game and 2-2 series. Simple as that.

The Philadelphia pressure is what causes those bad defensive breakdowns.

Should I just shave the beard now and get it over with?

Yes. You look like an idiot.

Two of our three goals came on a deflection off a Flyers' stick and a weird play where it got caught in a defenseman's pants and he backed it into the net.

How much more puck luck do you want?

And yet, the D really needs to be more careful with the passes and the clears. Hjalmersson really killed them tonight with those two giveaways.

Agreed. It's a shame Hammer had the blunders in the 1st or else it's a 1-1 game going to the 2nd with us dominating play to that point. And that's not even mentioning Sopel thinking he was a forward on their 3rd goal with 35 seconds left which was huge.

Will be interesting to see what Q does with the lines. You know he's going to mix it up for game 5.

Don't ruin the narrative that the Hawks are hopelessly over matched and can't possibly win another game.

I was right tonight. I'll be right two more times.

I still feel that they will give false hope and take game 5, get blown out in game 6 and lose a heart breaker in game 7. It's the way it's meant to be.

Here is a situation where right and rational are as far apart as possible from each other. You could do a lot to stop actually rooting for the negative outcomes just so you can trumpet your irrational correctness on the boards during and after.

I do agree with you Kyle that Toews looks to be choking.

Even when we were getting all that pressure near the end he kept flubbing the puck. How many passes did he botch in the neutral zone?

Posted
Or you could be wrong.

Either way, it won't prove anything.

I won't be wrong. I wasn't wrong tonight, was I?

1-for-1 in being right. I'll be right two more times and while you are feeling horrible that the Blackhawks lost, I'll be feeling horrible but also knowing that I was right.

Is that better? Well, not really. That's where it sort of breaks down...

The puck luck was evened out with our 3rd goal after their 4th goal.

Most of the other stuff was just poor or good play.

I wasn't really ready to call it a choke until the end, I just knew other people would. But that was chokerriffic at the end.
