Wow...not to jinx it...and I'm certainly not implying that it's inevitable....but it's possible last night was the last home game of the year.

What was disappointing about the third isn't that Philadelphia created a lot of chances. They were losing, so they cheated and pinched to get those chances. What's disappointing is that the Blackhawks didn't create any sort of counterattack to take advantage of that cheating and pinching. They did a fantastic job of this in the Vancouver series, especially game 6, but had nothing last night. I hope that isn't a trend.

I feel like they had a decent counterattack for much of the third period, but not the last 5 minutes. Even still, they should have scored an empty netter.

They won't beat Philly twice in a row in their building. This series is definitely coming back to Chicago.

Oh, and Wood & Prior never lost back to back all season.

eager is the most worthless blackhawk to pick a fight with. i don't see pronger's angle, there.

Bad blood with Eager being a former Flyer?

I'm not sure what happened in the actual game, but regarding the incident at the end of the game, I don't think he was picking on Eager specifically. I think he was trying to annoy the Hawks and Eager was the one that came over and challenged him.

Pronger is such a prick, but it's all by design. I almost respect him for that, but that doesn't mean I like him.

I didn't even realize/read that Pronger was having an animated discussion with the refs after last night's game. What could he possibly be bitching about? Hey we need a bigger penalty disparity than 8-4 after 2 games. You need to keep missing our blatent penalties and call even more on them.

When Eager was a Flyer, Pronger wasn't.

But yes, it seemed odd that the Flyers spent most of their antagonistic efforts on Eager and Kopecky.

Pronger went after Toews a few times, and they tried to mess with Campbell and Burish as well.

The Blackhawks haven't lost a road playoff game since Game 3 vs. Nashville. I would say at least 5 of their top 6 or 7 games these playoffs have been on the road.

As for last night, I didn't think the Flyers outplayed the Hawks as much as they played with more urgency. They pretty much had to. I know a physical game doesn't seem like it favors the Hawks, but it seemed to me that they were dishing out more than they were taking from the Flyers last night.

.

I think he was trying to reverse jinx the Hawks.

But your point about the road games is spot on. I feel a lot more relaxed going into game 3. Not that we're guaranteed to win it, but the pressure is all on the Flyers to win these 2 games.

Here’s the exchange between CSNPhilly.com and the Delco Times with Pronger:

What happened?

“I couldn’t hear him, I don’t speak gibberish,” said Pronger, who picked up a misconduct penalty at the very end and got into it with Eager.

“He’s been picking up pucks after the game and I just told him he can keep it,” Eager said minutes earlier, before Pronger spoke.

Where’s the puck, Pronger was asked.

“It’s in the garbage,” Pronger replied. “Where it belongs.”

You shot a towel at Eager when he complained?

“So what,” Pronger replied.

You’re collecting pucks now?

“Why not? What’s wrong? It’s sitting there. What else is gonna happen to it? It’s sitting there. Sure, why not. You got a problem with that?”

Are you gonna sell it on eBay?

“I don’t know. Apparently, it got him upset. So I guess it worked, didn’t it? It’s too bad. I guess little things amuse little minds.”

Man, Pronger is awesome. I hope he blows his knee out getting off the plane in Philly and has lots of time to give hilarious interviews.

it wasn't hilarious, he was getting surly on a bunch of little bitches. i've seen this before.

like i said, eager is the wrong guy to pick a fight with if you're pronger. he's a headhunter on the forecheck and just about worthless anywhere else.

ooh, you got into eager's head and he put you out of the series on a 5-minute major for boarding which your team converted into nothing. and there's really no head to get into.

Gonna miss tomorrow's game while flying on my way for a vacation. But having a 2-0 lead in the series makes it a lot easier to take. If they win, it's all gravy and I will be finding a beach-side bar to watch the clincher on Friday night. If not, it's not the end of the world.

So, uh, does anyone know any good sports bars near the water in Sarasota?
