I would rather Soriano play 2B sure he can't play it either, but those errors are only worth one base.

His craptastic offense wouldn't look so bad at 2B either.

God. Why didnt they just walk him?

I'm sure they wanted to leadoff with Harang the next inning. I don't have a problem with it, we should be able to get Ryan Hanigan out.

But, he isn't the jewel of the Sosa trade so we can't do that.

I'm fairly certain in a month or so it's not going to matter, he'll be benched.

It wasn't a bad pitch really, it pretty much sawed him off but he was able to muscle it out there.

Fontenot just made me think about it, has he hit the ball to the opposite field? In the entirety of his life?

That was horrible defense by Soriano and I'm not sure why they didn't pitch around the 8-hitter there to face Harang.

Who is in charge of the OF defense? The fact that Soriano hasn't improved in LF since 2006 should be pretty indicative of their abilities as a coach that he can't even get Soriano to start showing minimal improvements.

So we will keep running out Fontenot, yet won't play Soriano. Even crap Soriano hits better than Fontenot.

This is major league baseball, not an RPG where it's a matter of hitting him fungoes until he's an awesome defender.

So what you're saying is instead of spending great money on pretty good coaches, we should just spend that money on talented players?

I think we gotta get Soriano out of outfield, I would prefer he play 2B and Fontenot play for some other central team.

Random question: Have the White Sox always made appearances on WGN nationally, and if not, when did that start?

Hey, another rifle-arm for Theriot.

Yes, as far back as I can remember.

And no one is throwing out Stubbs on that ball unless Ramirez gets to it.

It would help if they were doing it pretty much daily and working on his technique and studying film to identify what he is doing/should be doing. I am not saying he's going to turn into an awesome defender. Maybe they do work on stuff and it just doesn't stick with Soriano or he just doesn't want to work on it.
