I know Balbay is a great defender, but I still wonder how big an asset he is on the court given his offense.

He does a lot better job of making his defender work than most non-shooting guards. He's a good ball handler and isn't afraid to attack the basket.

He hasn't attacked much in the handful of games I've seen UT play. I'd give him less minutes and J'Covan Brown more, unless there the other team's success was totally predicated on guard play (where Balbay's defense is worth more.) Maybe I just haven't seen UT play enough.

Someone needs to explain to me why Texas called a timeout up 2 with 12 seconds left when they got the board. And why did Brown walk the ball up with 9 seconds? They would have had time for the putback/foul if he had any urgency.

Teams couldn't botch these end of game situations any more if they tried. Now I think Duke is going to roll Arizona.

Purdue is playing the worst interior defense I've ever seen. It's unbelievable. I'm not sure that VCU has missed a shot in the second half and Purdue is not adjusting. I know you never play zone, but you're getting raped. DO SOMETHING.

Nice to know that Purdue can't get the call on a choke slam against Lewis Jackson. It's bad enough to have to watch Purdue look like a bunch of lobotomized sloths as they watch VCU run the same play over and over.
