MSU isn't very good. You should win at home.

 

We should also beat teams like UIC and Penn State

 

Hey now, Penn State has the same number of conference wins as Illinois :clapping:

Texas A&M beat Missouri at their own game today. Big win for us and Melvin Watkins still can't buy a win at Reed Arena. :)

 

That Pressey kid is going to be a stud. Him and Denmon are a dangerous pair.

As frustrating as this team is I see us winning the next four games and maybe five if we can show some guts at Northwestern. I still don't think we'll lose a home game this year. Plus remember, Tisdale's M.O. is play one bad game, play one good game, bad game, good game.... so he'll have a good game Tuesday night.

Nice, strong move by Griffey. Davis probably wasn't looking, likely sulking on the bench. I don't dislike Weber. I think he knows the game I just think he has too much loyalty to guys who don't deserve it. I think, like most fans, he thought this team would be led by D-Mac and the Mikes. Well, it's obvious the Mikes aren't leaders and props to McCamey for his performances to this point this year. Today, he did something I wanted him to do since his sophomore year, take the ball to the hole when you aren't shooting well from the floor. Unfortunately, Weber will likely still rely on the Mikes this year instead of realizing they are who they are - very good role players. Honestly, going back to the Lou Henson days and even Krueger and Self, would either of the Mikes be starting?

Nope, I would honestly be for trying Jereme at the 4. Although who knows how long he's gonna be in the dog house now?

 

I wonder why he missed practice. I don't have a problem disciplining him by sitting him a whole game if he missed for a bogus reason. Plus, maybe his achilles will be much better by Tuesday. I would feel more comfortable with him as a 3" than "4", although, sadly, I think he's our best post player. I just think he'll get too many fouls at the 4 than the 3.

He missed for a personal reason back home in Waukegan. Definitely doesn't sound like a reason to be benched for entire game. But he Weber the hard ass probably disagrees

Yep. I'm still not certain just how good Ohio State is. They are a very good team but i'm not sold that they are the best in the country. I don't remember their Big Ten schedule to this point, but non-conference Florida was their best win. Plus, the Assembly Hall crowd will be hype and Tisdale and Davis will have a good game because they basically pick and choose when they will have good games. I don't think we will lose a home game this year.

Richmond's parents travelled to Wisky after he missed practice to go home to talk to his family. Then he doesn't play. I think he's gone.

Madison is probably closer for them than Champaigne so it could just be getting to see a close road game. Curious that he didn't play though yes.

I cant remember at what point in the season Stiemsma and Landry got suspended their soph years at UW for grades.

I think they're the best team in the country. Fortunately, this year the gap between the best team in the country and the 30th best team on the country isn't what it normally is. So playing a good UI team on the road will be tough. But tOSU is the best, with Duke also being in the conversation.
