I dunno, spazzes talking about wanting Bradley to tear his ACL and fail miserably seems a little bit more than commenting on it. There is an intense loathing of Bradley among the general public that I'll never quite understand. Then again, Cubs fans are hypersensitive morons and once anything is called into question about them they lose it.

In his latest salvo aimed at the Cubs, Milton Bradley claims he wanted manager Lou Piniella to apologize to him in front of his teammates after Piniella called him a "piece of (expletive)" during a confrontation last June.

 

Piniella declined, according to Bradley.

 

"The next day, he called me into his office and wanted to apologize," Bradley told ESPN. "I felt you put me on blast, called me out in front of everybody, you're going to apologize in front of everybody.

 

"He didn't choose to go that route, but I accepted his apology nonetheless, because as a Christian that's what you do. I don't have time to hold grudges against people."

It's actually sad because it's part of his "it's no one else's fault but mine". Judging by his comments throughout his career, he seems to never think it's his fault that people hate him. Like he thinks the world out to get him and only him. He obviously has to know that no other players are getting bounced from several cities, with everyone hating him when he leaves. He blames everyone else but doesn't step out of his shoes and see that there's a trend and the trend is that he is a jackass.

 

If the alledged racist comments were made as frequently as he suggests (or any comments were made at all), then in a way to do sympathise with him. No one deserves that. Not even jackasses like him. But other people's fans making racist comments doesn't make teams dump you for .10 on the dollar. Racist comments don't cause your manager to call you a piece of [expletive] in front of your team during a ballgame. Racist comments don't cause your entire clubhouse to feel a sense of relief when you are suspended for the rest of the year. You are an unbearable [expletive] Milton Bradley and it's time you realize that.

The quality of Jim Hendry's performance as GM should have no bearing on one's opinion of Milton Bradley as a public figure. In fact, Hendry has been fairly upfront about his failures as GM over the past year, stating categorically that the Bradley signing was a mistake.

 

Simply because Jim Hendry is a bad general manager does not make me side with Milton Bradley in any way, shape or form in his criticism of the Cubs. Hendry's comments about Bradley are the 1 in a million times I agree with Hendry about anything.

 

Bradley needs to just stop talking and the media needs to stop feeding the situation.

I have a ton of doubt that it came from within the organization or that he was basically encountering racism or even people acting negatively towards him everywhere he went in Chicago.
