Here's an Indiana fan that will be upset if Illinois doesn't make the tournament. The Illini have wins at Clemson, Vanderbilt, Michigan State, at Wisconsin, and neutral against Wisconsin. That is simply so, so much better than what these other crappy bubble teams have done. In my bracket I don't think they'd even be one of the "last four" in.

I agree, but I just have a really bad feeling.

Well, I don't blame you at all. If you put a gun to my head I'd probably say they get left out. I just don't think they should be left out.

The fact that the ACC is still gonna get a ton in is a joke, the conference was awful this year. But, we have no one to blame but ourselves. We take care of the crap teams we lost to, Georgia, Utah, and Bradley, and we are in easy.

After the game against OSU, I felt like Illinois was definitely in. But pretty much everything has gone wrong for them. I still think Minnesota trouncing Purdue was the worst though. In the committee's minds it's probably between them for a 5th Big 10 bid, and combined with Illinois losing 6 of their last 8 games as well as Minnesota beating Illinois in Champaign and Minnesota upsetting Michigan State and Purdue on back to back days, I can't see how Minnesota doesn't get it. Really really tough loss for Illinois today as it was an extremely winnable game and probably would have made them "safe" in or at least had a "play in" game with Minnesota.

I think Illinois and Minny deserve in over Va Tech. Va Tech has a strength of schedule of 132 thats the only reason they have the record they do. Give Illinois that type of schedule and they arent 19-14. Same goes for Minny.

I agree, I think Illinois deserves to be in. But in my opinion, the committee will determine the B10 deserves 5 teams and fairly or not will have to choose between the Illini and Minnesota. Right now Minny has all factors in their favor.

Which is ironic because the ACC only really deserves 5 teams and is somehow going to get 7 if they let VaTech in.

I'm usually against Big 10 teams making the tourney whenever possible, but it's a pretty solid, deep league this year, and in my biased opinion the middle ACC teams just don't pass the eye test. I watched pieces of the GaTech/UNC tournament game and the Jackets looked just plain stupid out there at times.

It would be funny if the first time the Big Ten wins the Big Ten/ACC Challenge, the ACC ends up with more teams in the tourney at the expense of more deserving Big Ten teams.

Temple wins the A-10 autobid. Richmond was in anyway. I don't think the game moves either team on the curve.

I filled all the remaining teams in. Does this bracket fill all the rules? I had to play with seeding a bit - MSU had to switch to a 4 and G'Town to a 3 to fix some conference-rematch issues and Okie State dropped from a 7 to an 8 for the same reason.

Just edited to fix a Marquette/Wisconsin rematch issue. Marquette drops to an 8 to fulfill rules and ND moves from an 8 back to a natural 7.

Looks as good as any, and the only game that would affect anything at this point would be Minnesota-Ohio State, but I don't consider a win or loss either way to really push things in a certain direction. The bubble teams we have out are Virginia Tech, Utah State and Mississippi State (and Seton Hall, if you believe they're still in consideration), while Illinois, Minnesota, UTEP, Cal, and Florida are in.

As a Texas A&M grad, I don't like our draw at all. But I don't have too many problems with the overall bracket. I truly don't believe that Baylor is 3 seeds higher than us, though. I would put them as a 4 and A&M as a 5, but oh well. We'll see what the committee says about that.

And FYI, I also entered our bracket into the selection sunday challenge on NCAA.com. Considering only 92% of the brackets registered to this point even have Kansas on it, I imagine our bracket will do pretty well.

Yeah, your draw is about as hard as it gets for a 6. I love what shook out with ND - I'd much rather play Kansas State than Ohio State (the only other 2 seed we can play). And I'm not enamored with Saint Mary's.

And I promise I didn't rig up the draw to make it easy for ND. :) As I said above I actually had ND opposite Kentucky as an 8 seed until I ran into Big East matchup issues and had to switch some names around.

Oh good lord. EPIC fail for me - I just realized I have Marquette in Milwaukee, which isn't allowed. I'm going to switch them with Louisville.

I also switched the seeds around to reflect that Louisville is already higher than they should be, so UNI gets bumped up to an 8 and Wake Forest down to a 9.

Not a favorable draw for Mizzou. I'd rather face Marquette or UNI than Florida State, and obviously Syracuse in Buffalo is nightmare fuel.

Texas A&M getting bumped to a 6 is going to be a big miss for us. I was surprised we had them as a 5 on the S-Curve, I thought they'd be a sure-fire 4.

Lunardi's current projection is not a big difference from ours with a couple of exceptions (SDSU is a 9 in his bracket somehow, and Cal is a 7). He also has USU in and Florida out, reversing our picks. The Syracuse pod looks exactly like ours except that Lehigh is not in the play-in game.

This is a pretty nice bracket IMO.

I know it's highly unlikely for a 14 seed to make the Sweet Sixteen, but we have Houston in the Houston regional. Would the committee do that?

Hmm. Good catch - what's the verdict? Shall we change it? Obviously it'd be simple - could switch Houston with Montana or Ohio.

Quick switch with Montana fixes that.

Color me not shocked that Duke was the third one seed. Color me a little surprised Kentucky was the second.

Our bracket ended up tied for 98th overall in the selection sunday challenge, as we got 64 of 65 teams right, 32 of 65 were the correct seed, and we placed 9 teams exactly right.

61 teams within one seed line too if I'm correct. (Cal, Marquette, Texas)

Yeah, this was probably the best bracket we've ever done.

I'm going to drink heavily, now.

Sorry I missed almost all of the weekend. I went on a trip and figured I could find an internet connection somewhere. I was wrong. Probably a good thing though, since I would've pushed hard for Virginia Tech to be in. As always, great job putting this all together Bukie.

Thanks, my only regret is that it didn't work out well for team 65.
