Kornheiser was suspended from PTI for two week for his comments on one Hannah Storms outfits during his radio show.

Hannah Storm in a horrifying, horrifying outfit today. She's got on red go-go boots and a catholic school plaid skirt ... way too short for somebody in her 40s or maybe early 50s by now...She's got on her typically very, very tight shirt. She looks like she has sausage casing wrapping around her upper body ... I know she's very good, and I'm not supposed to be critical of ESPN people, so I won't ... but Hannah Storm ... come on now! Stop! What are you doing? ... She's what I would call a Holden Caulfield fantasy at this point.

Deadspin though has a differnet story

Kornheiser's comments about Storm were not the only ones that were "being reviewed" by ESPN brass; rather, it was the "totality" of his comments that got him in trouble, meaning, that yes, the Kornheiser/Gary Braun pile-on about Berman's weight was also considered demeaning to ESPN personnel.

But why was Kornheiser's punishment so severe? People who have worked closely with ESPN higher-ups throughout their career point to Norby's close relationship with Berman. Meaning, Berman's a made guy. Here's a quote that, unfortunately, cannot be attributed to anyone because these are the type of concessions we make to disclose larger truths about Bristol High, but it says a lot: "You're forced to apologize if you make fun of Hannah Storm. You get suspended if you make fun of Chris Berman."

Its also interesting that he gets suspended from PTI for comments on his radio show which he is still doing. Also noticed that the podcast last two weeks or so of Korheisers radio have been taken off itunes the latest is a Febuary 8 podcast. On a side note if your not listening to his radio show you should give it a try not really sports talk but its great.

A two week suspension is ridiculous. He probably went a little far with how he said it, but Tony was correct in what he said.

He absolutely was not correct. It was both blatantly inappropriate, and completely wrong*.

*Not to mention at least a year late to the party.

To me it seems awfully sexist that the male anchors are wearing business attire, while Hannah Storm is wearing go go boots. Not sure what the ESPN policy is, but it doesnt seem consistent. As a person who has adult daughters I would be a little miffed if this was the standard at their place of employment.

According to SportsbyBrooks, ESPN doesn't have the authority to suspend him from his radio show (Dan Snyder owns the station it airs on, and it's merely affiliated with ESPN). It's also been announced that Kornheiser has been banned from criticizing any ESPN employee for any reason on any outlet in the future.

TK's contract is up soon and it's rumored that this massive overreaction is to gain leverage in talks on a new deal.

ESPN would be stupid to low ball Tony. About the only reasonably intelligent sports show they have on that network is Him and Wilbon. I think PTI's ratings would take a huge long term hit without TK

I really hate TK because I think he is wrong and doesn't know much about sports but agree with both points. PTI is the only show I care to watch anymore and if TK goes the ratings would plummet.

If Korheiser were to ever leave ESPN it would be the best thing in the world for his radio show. It would then be open season on people like Berman who he hates and he has also talked about writing a book. It would not be like when Dan Patrick left he took the high road Kornheiser has never taken the high road. He slams the Washington Post and the guy who fired him on a daily bases so while I would miss PTI I can only hope they do not renew his contract.

Seriously? Her skirt isn't too short and her boots, though clearly hooker boots, are perfectly fine. Besides, I have to assume that if ESPN didn't approve of her outfit, she wouldn't be wearing it on air. It's a ridiculous attack on a perfectly good milf...I mean, anchor.

Berman is crap. He was/is a hack which is bad enough but I had a class (I think Andy was in it) that a hot female who interned at ESPN spoke in. She said every day Berman would pull up in his sports car and ask her to go back to his place. If I remember correctly she said 2/3's of the male hosts were like that.

those boots are ugly and the skirt looks like it was made out of fabric from a sofa made in 1973.

This. TK went overboard but the overall point was correct. It was hideous and an anchor shouldn't be wearing anything like that.

The overall point was wrong.

plus i don't think that she picks out the clothes she wears on the air.

There was some article a while back where she said she picks out her clothes... can't remember where it was. Someone had interviewed her about her style.

Still, at any other employer, that's sexual harassment -- whether his comments were accurate (I think they were, despite Storm being a fox) or otherwise.

Except he has a history of criticizing everyone...male or female...for any number of things, including attire. I think sexual harrassment would be a tough thing to prove.

A history of criticizing doesn't make up for anything.

i think it would be hard to prove that it's sexual in nature because he'll make fun of men for the same things.

If one of the male anchors came out wearing bermuda shorts while another was wearing business attire and KT criticized him, what would that be?

A completely different situation.

She wasn't dressed any differently than thousands of women in the business world dress everyday. And it's a freaking sports highlight show, not meet the press.
