Tell me one sport that Michigan is good at.

Are we basing this on two seasons. That would be very stupid. Michigan may very well be the best football program. They still bring in a crapton on revenue even with two down seasons. Baseball they are really good at if I am not mistaken and men's basketball they tend to do pretty good.

michigan and purdue, though I almost voted for Illinois instead.

Please explain Michigan. They bring in more revenue than anyone. Athletics they are probably second to OSU and academic endowment they are No. 1.

My deep, undying, and completely just hatred for their [expletive] fans.* The parameters gave everyone 2 votes for that reason. But if you want to major in General Studies, by golly, UM is the place for you.**

*Not all fans of UM are assholes, but a lot are. And where I live, the majority. The vast, vast majority.

**Assuming you're a football player that enjoys having a 50/50 shot at graduating.

michigan probably brings the most to the table, so voting for them makes no sense whatsoever.

Dick Rod is merely 2 years into his plan of turning Michigan into Further West Virginia, only with fewer wins. He's already got a football recruit who robbed 3 houses signed up. I'd say things are going swimmingly.

Hey, not one person he's signed on that football team has a felony conviction. :)

There’s nobody on this football team that we’ve signed that has a felony conviction.

As for my vote, I'm not really Big Ten savvy so I will abstain, though I agree with the consensus that on their face IU seems to bring the least to the league.

Michigan is #2 in academics (behind NWU) in the Big Ten

In terms of endowment they are No. 1 in the country. That is according to wikipedia which lists the official PDF as the source and has a link to the official document.

In terms of academic reputation and prestige Northwestern I would say is easily the best.

I am basing it on this not sure what the guidelines are for the National Association of College and University Business Affairs. In looking at more than just a quick glance at 2009 MIT in every year that their number was listed had a bigger endowment.

harvard's endowment is 25 billion; that blows michigan out of the water.

I live close to Champaign and have to say that UofI homerism at times is rather annoying. When I lived in Omaha the Nebraska homerism was real annoying. I guess what I am saying is that it usually is annoying living in another fan base area. Especially if you are a fan of a rival team to that fan base, like MSU/Illinois bb.
