Well, the CJ-2,000 yard countdown has gotten the slightest bit closer:

With three games left in the regular season, Chris Johnson has gained 1,626 yards. He needs 374 yards in those three games -- an average of 124 per game. Still possible, but getting tougher.

As for the game Sunday, the Dolphins will be tough. The good news is, they're a running team and the strength of the Titans' defense is still stopping the run. It'll be interesting to see how the D fares against a rejuvenated Ricky Williams. I think the secondary will do well against Henne and the passing game.

Offensively, CJ will obviously be fine, but there's still some question as to whether Vince will play. If he doesn't, points will be hard to come by. If he does, I feel fairly confident about this game. It certainly helps that it will be at home.

I like the Saints and enjoy the gifs but I'm sure many hate your incredibly long gifs that are more like videos.

cool

I laugh at almost everyone I'm just saying spoiler would probably be appreciated by most. I don't really care because I only use the internet with a computer and fast connection.

Are you going to tell everyone what they like or don't like on here now as well?

It's going to be tough to get a win at Heinz but if there was ever a year and a time to do it, now would be it. If we win this game, we're in pretty good shape at running the table.

Jesus. Seriously F off. I try to do people a favor since I know people have complained many times about gifs including a rant/site suggestion and someone throws it back in my face.

Looks like the Panthers have a shot at 2 Sunday Night Football humiliations in 3 weeks if the Saints get to 15-0.

Multiple sources around the NFC South and the NFL say there is a strong chance the Saints’ final regular-season game, which is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start in Carolina, could be “flexed’’ to a Sunday night game, which will be the final game of the season for the entire NFL because there is no Monday night game that week.

Currently, the Giants and Redskins are scheduled for the Sunday night time slot. But the sources say the league is looking strongly at putting the Saints in prime time, if they remain undefeated and the league rules about flexing allow a six-day window for changing the final game. Some exploration into the logistics into a change already has been done. In other weeks, decisions about flexing a game must be made at least 12 days out.

I don't expect the Packers to win this weekend, but it seems alot more possible then it did a couple weeks ago.

Green Bay can clinch a playoff spot with a WIN and a Cowboys lose OR a WIN and a Giants lose OR tie.

So if the 49ers win this week they have a chance to make playoffs (probably about a 50/50 chance). After Phily they have St. Louis and Detroit.

To get in it basically comes down to what happens in the NFC East. Assuming the 49ers win out and thus have a chance this is what it is.

Phily: for us to beta Phily in a wild card they must lose out. Not too likely but they do have Denver and Dallas left.

Dallas: They need to lose two out of the last three. I would put it at 50/50 since they have Saints, Redskins and Phily left.

Giants: need them to just lose one game out of Washington, Carolina and Minnesota.

Basically the only way the 49ers don't make playoffs if they win out is Phily beats Dallas and Denver and Dallas beats Saints and Redskins. That would make Phily the division winner and Dallas a 10-6 wildcard team. The only other scenario is Phily wins one of Dallas and Denver and the Giants win out.

Of course if Atlanta wins out, 2 of 3 are on road but the Jets are best opponent left, they close the door on the 49ers.

If the 49ers win out they will more than likely make the playoffs. That is a big if though with having to play at Phily.

I'd say winning at Philly is more like a colossal if than merely a big one. Philly might be the 2nd best team in the NFC, depending on one's opinion of Minnesota.

Considering we lost on a last second long touchdown pass at Minnesota I wouldn't say it's colossal especially considering how we played on Monday. The 49ers are 1-5 on the road but the 5 losses are by 19 total points so it's not like we completely suck on the road.

I bet Dallas wins this one.

And loses for that matter.

Redskins president of football operations and GM Vinny Cerrato has resigned this morning. And just a couple hours later, it appears the Redskins will hire Bruce Allen to fill the position.

That will fuel immediate speculation that Jon Gruden, Allen’s close personal friend, will soon head from the ESPN “Monday Night Football” booth to become the next coach of the Redskins.

Allen and Gruden were teamed together in Tampa Bay, and worked previously in Oakland. Allen has ties to the organization as his father is Hall of Fame coach George Allen.

That article is all kinds of fail.

1) Giants and Skins play this week...on Monday night

2) In week 17, the Giants are playing the Vikings at 1pm. The Skins are playing the Chargers at 4:15pm. There's not currently a Week 17 primetime game scheduled.

There is still the Daniel Snyder factor to consider. As soon as Al Davis dies he will take over as the worst owner in the NFL.

Peyton is 12 for 12 passing so far in the first half tonight. The Colts have had the ball 3 times and have scored 3 TDs.

Jags can't stop them.

For full disclosure, one of the TDs was a kick off return, and the Jags have yet to be forced to punt either.
