The big thing was that they're moving towards everyone giving up their Tier 1 & Tier 2 rights for the next 6 years if they leave the conference. That's plenty of stability to add BYU, and then in a couple years the Tier 1 rights will be up for negotiation and then everyone will be happy.

TV rights. For the Big 12, Tier 1 is the ESPN/ABC national games, Tier 2 is the Fox Sports games, and Tier 3 is games showed only by local affiliates, or on Longhorn Network, etc.

Yeah, the Big 12 is stable. They don't even know what the [expletive] they agreed on.

The Big 12's presidents agreed to grant their television rights to the conference for six years, Oklahoma president David Boren said at a news conference on Thursday. Missouri chancellor Brady Deaton said at a news conference also on Thursday night that the agreement was not official, and the league had agreed to pursue such binds.

A source at Missouri confirmed to ESPN.com that they were told "there was no agreement, only an agreement to work toward that as a potential outcome."

is Mizzou the only school that seems wishy-washy? are there other schools who look like they could jump?

There are only three schools with the option to jump--OU, UT, and MU. OU and UT are, at the very least, paying lip service to staying right now. MU definitely has some leverage right now. Whether or not they truly would jump, they can use the threat of doing so to get more of whatever they want (crystal meth, firecrackers, porn) built into the rehashed Big 12.

A lot of the insiders on the boards I go to say many of the wonks at MU want out, so I think it's definitely more than idle bluffing.

We're the meth capital of the world, we've got plenty.

Nuh uh. OK has more meth lab busts. Oklahoma State is also located here.

We shot our wad though. Feel free to make fun of OU for losing at this game.

p.s. if you're on twitter and haven't been following @DanBeebe through all this, shame on you

speaking of college football and twitter, checkout the hashtag #notoriousTOB, in wich NC State fans alter Biggie lyrics to relate to their "beloved" head coach. I could not care less about NC State, but I still find it hilarious. Examples:

@celebrityhottub

"It was all a dream/ Running on 3rd and 17/ Telling Russell Wilson to throw another bubble screen" #notoriousTOB

@Joey_Powell

"What's beef? Beef is when you need four plays for thirty feet/Beef is when you drop games at Wake every week." #notoriousTOB

Had a friend tell me last night that Missouri has not won a conference championship in any sport since joining the Big 8. Is that really true? I have a hard time believing that.

No, it isn't.

Softball won the conference just this past year and in 1997. And won the conference tournament in 09 and 97. And men's hoops won the tournament a few years back.

That might be it though in the Big 12.
