Dan LeFevour=trade prospect in two to three years.

Dan LeFevour=out of the league in two to three years.

Yeah, I don't get that sentiment. How are the Bears going to develop him and flip him for added value? Is it going to be all the time he doesn't see on the field, or simply that Chicago Bear QB pedigree?

no, i think he's a marginal upgrade over caleb hanie and he'll probably be around for a while as long as he doesn't have to do anything besides carry a clipboard.

he's wearing a [expletive] benet academy shirt. didn't realize he was a chicago boy.

over the next 2-3 years, he'll get a couple or 3 starts. after the bears have clinched the division he'll get to play the last game.

I don't really understand the point of taking a rookie for a backup QB. If Cutler went down (which he probably will at this point because I don't think Chris Williams can block 4-6 guys every play), I'd want a vet with some experience to come in, not some rookie with no poise or any clue of what was going on.

How did Matt Schaub developed playing three years behind Michael Vick in Atlanta? It can happen, especially LeFevour in Martz's system, if Mike is there for multiple seasons. So I don't get the sentiment of those who say it can't happen. In the sixth round, I don't mind as much even tho like most I prefer the OL.

he's talking about the shotgun and how they only run it 50% of the time in the NFL. someone needs to tell him that martz doesn't run it at all. which further confuses me seeing as how the kid ran a ton of shotgun in college.

I don't think he will be the main backup. Either Hanie or another vet (McCown is apparently on the radar) will be the #2. LeFevour will have to prove that he is valuable enough as a #3QB to beat out a #7LB or #7CB or something like that. Last year, of course, they only took 2 QB's and if they do that again, I wouldn't imagine LeFevour would be one of them.

That Joshua Moore scouting report is pretty nice. Sounds like a good fit for the cover 2 (a 4.5 CB in a cover 2 is perfectly fine speed wise). And it sounds like he'll stick his nose in there on run support.

This defense needs to be a top 10 unit next year (maybe top 5) with the additions and guys coming back from injury. Possibly top 5 because Cutler is probably going to get murdered.

Also I would not be opposed to Faneca. We need someone on the interior who can blast guys at the point of attack.

Yeah we need pass blockers but I think at this point we pretty much have to go after Faneca if we're not going to take a decent OL in the draft.

We need any kind of blockers. Cutler, and especially the WRs, are not good enough where we can go sling the ball around with a crappy running game and expect to have a good offense ala San Diego or Indy. Also Forte needs to be a lot better.

I can see why LeFevour would play this season: Cutler and Hanie are going to be murdered by the 4 below average offensive linemen on this team (assuming Chris Williams progresses to being average or above average).

Matt Schaub was more then a sixth round reach coming out of college

wtf angelo

If the Bears land Faneca which I doubt due to his salary, will Beekman get a legitimate shot at winning the center job? If the Bears land Faneca and move Beekman over, the line went from bad to average which is a big jump.

If you don't like the Matt Schuab comparasion, how about Mark Brunell (5th rd), Matt Hasselbeck (6th rd), Aaron Brooks (4th rd), coincendently enough all three were drafted by the Packers during the Brett Favre era. I'm thinking the LeFevour pick is a page out of the Green Bay Packers playbook. Which isn't a bad thing.

As for the Webb pick, can you say disingenuous? Angelo can say he address the OL without actually addressing the OL. I'm hoping for their lack of interests in upgrading the OL during the draft, I'm hoping they sign Faneca.
