Apparently giving a 10 yard cushion is no longer enough; the Bears have Vasher running backwards before the ball is even snapped. Edited by Soul

It's pretty bleak right now but, the Bears have the most important starting piece a real good young QB. He's 1000X better than Orton in every facet of the game now, to find a decent GM and Coach to start building.

Sweet...Michigan basketball just lost making this the perfect little Sunday.

My thanksgiving weekend: 2 Blackhawks losses, a Bears loss, a Bulls loss and 2 Michigan basketball losses.

They could have called offsetting face masks on that one. Though Taylor's was much worse. I need Longwell FGs right now, so go Bears.

No they couldnt' have. They got rid of the 5 yard incedental, which is all that Hunter's was.

You misunderstand what they did. They didn't "get rid" of incidental face mask. They made ALL face masks 15 yards.

Not true, they're only calling the 15 yarders now, and incidentals are no longer penalties, according to the rule book.

Well, I admit, I haven't read the rule book. But all season announcers have been describing the change the way I described.

Thnx, bears.

Now, hester, if you could kindly catch a goddamned pass and maybe score more than 4 fantasy points, that'd be swell.

goony's right. they don't have to call the incidental facemask, but they can call an incidental facemask a pf.

Yep. This morning, in an effort to counteract my own stupidity and bad luck, I asked my football-illiterate wife whether I should start Harvin or Hester. She has no idea who either of them are. She said Hester.

Dammit.

I sat Santana Moss and Lee Evans while starting Hester and Anquan Boldin. So far Moss has exactly as many points as Hester and Boldin combined.

At least Troy and Joe are correctly pointing out what Cutler is fighting through. It gets tiring hearing about all of Cutler's mistakes while the the multiple other failures receive barely a mention.

I look it at this way after Farve costs them a Super Bowl they're going to have some garbage QB while the Bears will have a Pro Bowl caliber QB. Edited by gflore34

Lovie continues to show his cowardice ways. He is so effing pathetic. Undisciplined team, horrible judgement, no adjustments, no motivation. What justification does he have to keep his job?

The only justification is the cheapass ways of the McCaskey family. They won't pay to buy him out and hire a Cowher.

Its not cheapass. It's a huge amount of money to eat in an uncertain market and a "proven coach" doesn't guarantee anything. The problem is he never deserved that extension he got. The media uproar for that contract was ridiculous. The shame is they weren't cheap enough when that was going down.

I'm pretty sure you just said the Bears can't afford to hire a new coach. They are a money printing machine. Good organizations, you know, the ones that care about winning, don't make such excuses.

I didn't say they can't afford it, I said it's not cheapass. Lovie is one of the most highly paid coaches in the league. And the Bears don't print money like Dallas or Washington does, and both of those organizations have poor coaches. Chicago overpaid for Lovie's extension, and now they are paying for it.

The Bears are screwed. They need too much and don't have the draft picks for it. They'll have to get really lucky to be good in the next few years

If they don't replace the coach because they don't want to spend the money, that's cheap. It says they aren't willing to spend the money to win.
