"When you get the ball in the hands of the wide receivers and the backs (on screens), it's kind of like a running play," offensive coordinator Ron Turner said.

LOL.

Not that it isn't valid to run screens, but everything Turner says sounds like an excuse to me these days. I'm just ready to move on. Very ready.

Garrett Wolfe to IR. Former UCLA Bruin Kahlil Bell elevated from practice squad. Sounds like the Bears like Bell quite a bit...

Just from my own observations, I really think we will miss Wolfe in ST more than @ RB. He's made some pretty good plays this year on kicks.

This game is all on the coaching staff. Extra time to prepare after a Thursday night game last week. Eagles nearly gave up 100 against LT who looked like he was on his death bed. I think with the 5 INTs last week, the game plan will be more conservative. The screen game was really strong in SF, so I think you will see a lot more of that. But for any of it to work, the Bears have got to run the ball. Defensively, I think the Bears will play a lot of nickel and dime, as the Eagles aren't much of a threat to run the ball at this point. Think you will see a lot of cover 2 so as to not get beat deep, and hopefully you will see McNabb get picked a couple times.

For some reason, I think the Bears will win. It will be close. It might be ugly, but I think a Robbie Gould FG is the difference.

Also, just wanted to beat this dead horse again. The Bears 2nd round pick has just as many solo tackles and sacks as Gaines Adams. He's been an absolute non-factor, now 4-5 games into the trade.

We needed more fresh blood on this team, not other teams' busts. That's why that trade throws up a big red flag for me. Plus, why is it that our fearless leaders are busy running away from the first day of the draft? It's one thing to trade 1st rounders for a QB who performed well elsewhere. Quite another to continue by getting rid of other early round opportunities so you can "red shirt" guys and pick up a player who failed on another NFL team.

I am going to this one.....yay?

Oh well, Sunday Night Games are fun regardless of how bad the team is.

Yeah it's still fun to get out to the stadium. Have fun.

anybody want to give me some hope that something can be done to fix this team in the offseason? is there anything we can do to paste together an offensive line?

No we are screwed. Feel better?

24-6 Eagles.

I don't see the Bears being able to gain any offensive traction against the Eagles. They'll bring pressure, the Bears are horrible at blocking blitzes. The Bears can't run the ball to put a damper on those blitzes, and the Bears WR's don't appear very interested in keeping routes alive when Jay inevitably has to scramble. The only chance is to run effective hot routes and screens, but outside of the 9ers game last week, I still don't think that aspect of the Bears can be considered a strong point.

The Eagles have struggled as well, no doubt. But they still have a few things to hang their hats on, such as Jackson and Maclin on long routes, and a strong blitzing scheme on defense.

I would really enjoy being 100% wrong on this.

Cowher, Shanahan, Gruden, Holmgren, Dungy, etc.

Dungy is kind of small for the offensive line isn't he?

Then we are truly screwed.

I don't know that I have ever been less excited for a Sunday night game. I just have zero faith in this team turning around the season.

There's not much else to watch except the AMA. I guess I'll give this one a bit of a chance and evacuate to Fallout 3 if it becomes too rancid.

I expect to be leaving this one when the Hawks game starts.
