I think the quote that sums up the Bears season was said by Aikman last week.

This is such a mistake filled DUMB football team. Jay Cutler on third and goal from the 3 tries to throw the ball through 4 defenders, wanting to boost up his TD totals and not caring about the 3 points he's giving away. Then he literally just stands there with no clue the play clock is about to run out. He wasn't even in position to hike the ball, he's still reading the defense. And then the DOG on the FG with a TO left, how dumb can you be? Is there not one person on the team who is in charge of looking at the play clock and calling a TO if it runs down?

 

If they don't have one, they should hire one because it reflects poorly on the entire coaching staff taking 2 DOG penalties on the drive and on both of them it is pretty obvious no one was watching the play clock.

The number of penalties (6), and the type, are fairly typical of a poorly coached team -- 2 offsides, a false start, 2 delays of game, and a holding.

 

I'm not happy with the play calling in the red zone, and Cutler made a boobish throw. It was just dumb -- you can't force that in there. Hester falling down is much, much less egregious than not coming back for the ball on the subsequent play, in my opinion.

 

Bears should be up in this one. This has the feel of the Packers game to me. The Bears are the better team, slightly, but unforced errors are killing them.

During the off season I mentioned how the Vikings are easily the fav to win the divison. And I got destroyed by basically everyone. The NFC North is the Vikings, a crappy Lions team and 2 not has crappy teams as the Bears and Packers. It sucks.
