Zaidman just said Roach doesn't wear a cup and got racked in the balls. He'll be back.

Wow. Don't wear a cup?

A trend got going in the 90s where players stopped wearing cups. It seems crazy, but... No, it's just crazy

I never played football, but it seems pretty damn crazy to me.

I didn't wear a cup when I played football. Too many pads/too much clothing in that area as it is. Cup made it unbearable.

I didnt used to wear a cup when i fought because it was wildly uncomfortable, especially when you are kicking and such. First time I got kicked square in the balls, though, I learned to live with the discomfort. I couldn't imagine stepping on an NFL field without one.

I am looking at the DVOA rankings for offensive lines. Surprisingly, the Bears O-line is ranked 21st in the league. But when they break it down position by position, the Bears LT is ranked 30th in the NFL. Of course that is Orlando Pace's position.

Did people watching on NFL network instead of 50 just lose signal?

edit: no, I can watch it there

pathetic

edit: and I don't care that he stopped him short.

Haha before that play started, I saw 8 Bears up on the line and said out loud "please don't all be blitzing...please don't all be blitzing...please don't all be blitzing" and of course they all blitzed, they all failed to get pressure, and SF got a pretty good opportunity for a first down. You can definitely see the quality of talent decrease between the Cardinals offense and the 49ers.

I just lost my signal watching it on 50, and had to switch to NFL network to get it to work

Forte is actually making something out of nothing on some of these carries which is helping a bit...the timing of the hand offs seems off though. Forte's never at or near full speed when he's getting the ball even if it's a basic power play.

ESPN is saying Crabtree replaced Bruce in the starting lineup. Too bad Crabtree has started each week he has played and Bruce actually didn't start last game. Josh Morgan did and by half time Bruce was pushed down to 4th behind Hill.
