Steve Phillips former GM, is finding himself in a lot of trouble these days as yet another ESPN employee is accused of having a affair with a co-worker. The girl is/was only 22 and it got bad between the 2.

Seeing a picture of the woman just reinforces the thought that Phillips doesn't have an eye for talent.

Come on, do you guys really think he is going to get any better than that? After all.... he is Steve Phillips.

 

Still, it's not like the man has a face for radio. He's got to be able to do better than that.

I'm picturing the Baseball Tonight segment "That's Nasty" where Kruk, Vina, and EY just go: "Phew, man. That's nasty." or "Man, I wouldn't want to be in his shoes right now." or "If you're gonna go down, go down swinging... my goodness"

It's a jock culture, I'm sure there's a lot more unreported cases than reported ones.

How does Phillips only get suspended over this and Harold Reynolds gets fired?

 

Because this was consensual. From what I recall, Reynolds' "hug" or whatever the hell it was, was deemed as unwelcome by the recipient.

If you haven't read it, pick up a copy of ESPN: The Uncensored History. Goes into a lot of detail about these kinds of activities. Also makes you wonder how Mike Tirico still has a job.
