Best thing about MLBN is that you will never see football, basketball, hockey or whatever other backwash ESPN chooses to promote in the middle of summer or on the day of WS Game 1.

Bad baseball analysis is better than yet another roundtable with Jaworski and the rest.

That's just plain old stupid. Bad baseball analysis is bad.

Didn't say it wasn't.

Put it this way - I'd rather watch a [expletive] like Reynolds talk baseball than see the very best in the business talk about anything else.

and that's quite ridiculous. Sports are good.

Mitch Williams on the CC vs Lee matchup-

"When you have two aces going against each other, one has to win and one has to lose. Unless they both get no-decisions."

Thanks Mitch

mitch occasionally has some good insight as a former player, but mostly he's just a dumb redneck who's paid well to sit there and tell you [expletive] that you already know if you've followed baseball for more than 5 minutes of your life.

I can see J.R.'s point. Who wants to hear whether or not the Jacksonville Jaguars improved their offense in the draft in the middle of June? Some of the crap ESPN puts on to kill time is, well, crap.

It's a sports network with several stations dedicated to sports 24/7. Whining about having to hear about the NFL draft is just plain stupid. If they only talked about baseball during the summer that network would suck even more than it already does.

Thanks to MLBN, ESPN is no longer a concern for me. My DVR is set for "Baseball Tonight" just in case they air a segment worth watching.

Having said that, there is much, much better analysis available on the 'net than what you see on either channel.
