Michigan State's defense is awfully impressive. Not looking forward to playing them on the road

The Badgers handled them pretty well. Given the way Penn State dismantled Michigan today, you shouldn't be worried.

I need to root for MSU tonight, and OSU against Iowa as well. It's the only way PSU can win the Big 10 outright (assuming they win out, which is a lot to ask with games against OSU and MSU still on the schedule)

Yay, Clemson upset Miami.

Meh, I guess. I've taken a liking to Randy Shannon and that program. They definitely took a step back today with that game.

SIU handily disposed of Youngstown St. 27-8 but we lost our starting QB due to an arm injury in the 1st quarter. It's going to be tough to beat South Dakota St. at SDSU in a couple of weeks with our backup. That game is going to decide who wins the MVC as SDSU beat UNI today.

Holy crap, UCLA's punter just had an 82 yard punt.

In all honesty, after watching both teams against the same team, I think Florida is the better team than Alabama. I think they'll end up playing in the SEC championship game and I think Florida has the best chance to win.

UCD beats Portland State 34-31 to keep their slim playoff hopes alive - they have to win their last four games just to be eligible, which won't be easy.

They outgained PSU 484-237 but lost three fumbles. One was returned for a touchdown, a second turned into a FG, and third was when UCD had 1st and goal from the 2.

UCLA has as many interceptions in the first half as points - 3. What a pathetic offense.

agreed 100 percent. alabama is lucky they have a terrible schedule, or they'd be a 3 or 4 loss team

They just don't have enough offense to go up against a more explosive team like Florida and consistently win. I heard a comparison during the week of Alabama to the Titans (before this year, obviously). I think that's a pretty accurate comparison, except for one point - the QBs. McNair and Kerry Collins have both been good enough to make plays when they had to even if they were "game managers" throughout the game. I'm not convinced McElroy can make a play against a great defense.

Definitely. Alabama's offense is so horrible outside of the running game.

I love that Charlie Weis didn't bother tying the game.

You don't think that was the right call? 4th and goal from inside the 1 with ND's offense. That's a great call and I hope, when faced with the same situation again, Weis goes for it again. I just hope he doesn't have Robert Hughes, who must be about the 10th best offensive player on the team, taking the direct snap.

BTW - if he doesn't get drilled in the head, he might have the sense to hold the ball over the line. But he was pretty woozy after that hit.

Their QB is not good at all. When Julio Jones only has 20 catches for 229 yards through 7 games, then there is a problem at QB.

florida's explosive?

i know, right? they just showed a stat that said they have 1 td and 3 or 4 fg in their last 7 red zone trips. HOW CAN THEY BE STOPPED.

Jones had 5 catches for 51 yards in the first half today and, in the second half, he had 2 catches for 3 yards. I didn't see Tennessee doing anything differently against him, McElroy just quit throwing his way.
