Oh, and McCarthy's still an idiot. Why do you have Woodson returning punts when we're up by 23 and when Nelson has been having a great day? Not to mention the last time he returned a punt was when he messed his ankle up on Thanksgiving against the Lions a couple of years ago. Idiotic doesn't even begin to describe how dumb that was.

Nelson is hurt and sucks at returning punts, he struggls catching them.

 

But agreed on Woodson. I dont want Tramon returning them either.

It's Tampa, so take it with the salt necessary, but Williams and Stewart are starting to get back into a groove. Stewart just reeled off a 26-yard scoring run to give the Panthers a 21-7 lead.

Tampa takes the kickoff back. That's how bad teams lose.

The bottom of the NFL is so bad this year that it's becoming necessary to treat them almost like 1AA opponents in college football. You really can't draw any conclusions from those games.

I'm glad that we get the Buccaneers and Browns and two of our next three games. It really looks like Jennings, Driver, Rodgers and then a bunch of idiots out there.

Yeah we can probably sleepwalk through those two games and still win by a decent margin. We haven't played that well at all (on offense at least) and we're still up by 26.

 

Bottom line is we have to win the game against Minnesota in two weeks too if we want any shot at the playoffs.

I don't know. Even then we'll most likely be 5-3 with ownership of the tiebreaker over the Bears. I don't see any teams who stand out as a sure fire playoff team outside of the division leaders. It's probably going to be Atlanta, Chicago, Green Bay, Philly and Dallas (maybe Arizona) battling for 2 playoff spots. 5-3 with 8 to go gives you a decent shot. The schedule gets a lot tougher after the Bucs game though.
