I've changed my mind. I'm keeping Adrian Gonzalez and putting Ian Kinsler into the draft.

Eh. I wish somebody would trade with me so I don't have to keep agonizing over this. In light of recent events...I've changed again. Kinsler will be my keeper.

What are the recent events? :)

Ryan Howard not being selected as a keeper by roadster.

I'm guessing he picks him back up with the 2nd pick in the draft.

I'd trade you Morneau for Gonzalez, or at least think about it, but am not sure if the 74 pts would help you.

Need more like 174 points.

If it'll help in any way, let me know and we can talk about it. I know all 3 new members are willing to trade too, as I've had talks with all of them over the last day.

Either way, it gives me a better chance of a good 1B.

I'm still planning on reviewing all of my trade offers. I have some work I need to finish up first.

It is after 12:30pm. I should probably consider working sometime today. Figuring I'll probably shut it down around 4 today, I'm running out of time to actually get something done.

you can drop whoever you want, you just can't pick anyone up.

Really, its telling me that you are not allowed to do add/drops while the draft is underway. Which is also strange.

I'm having the same problem.

I was able to drop my non-keepers, but that was before the draft order was set and you were able to check your keepers. Maybe that action disables the add/drop function for now, since players not checked as keepers (including minor leaguers, as I learned the hard way last year) are automatically dropped at the deadline.

He is still exempt. Since he only had 8 appearances in 2006 his exempt years were 2007--2009, so his points don't count against the cap this year but they will a year from now. If he had 10 appearances rather than 8 in 2006 his exemptions would have ran out after 2008.

Why?

Because he is a quality pitcher, or because his first name is Tim? :-k

Because I was intent on taking him in the second round, way before I thought anyone else would do it. Only Navin picked him one before me. :(

 I still think its because his first name is Tim.

And then I beat Tim in the playoffs two straight years by riding Lincecum's arm. :)

I wake up all excited to see what my options will be with the 6th pick in the draft, and boy was I disappointed in my options. Luckily, the waiver feature didn't drop the players last night like it was supposed to. =D>

I guess I was too sleepy to notice right away, since there were only 2 hitters with more than 500 points, but my own team is dropping more players with 500 points than the free agent pool currently has. Now it all makes sense. :yahoo:

The site itself actually shows that the deadline to set keepers is 2/15 (today), but would guess that would be 11:59:59, so would think we should be able to see who's available tomorrow?

Here are the keepers for Sock It Thome (sorry I didn't post yesterday!!!)

1B Chris Davis - exempt

3B Gordon Beckham - exempt

SS Derek Jeter - 521.5

OF Carl Crawford - 505.2

OF Xavier Nady - 15.5

SP Matt Cain - 615

SP Luke Hochevar - exempt

SP Tommy Hunter - exempt

RP Brian Fuentes - 264.5

Total Points - 1921.7

Minors:

1B Logan Morrison

OF Brian Bogusevic

OF Kyle Blanks

OF Aaron Hicks

OF Ryan Kalish

OF Lastings Milledge

SP Andrew Miller

Am I correct that all minor leaguers don't count against the 2000 point limit? The only player that would affect is Milledge, and I'll just drop him if his points count, but just wanted to check :-)
