I would have preferred a regulation win, but anytime you can come out of the so called "Shark Tank" with 2 points, it's a positive trip.

Does that make it 5-2 on this trip with 1 to play?

yup, and i would have been content with 5-3. if they handle business against carolina they'll go 6-2, which is pretty fuckin badass

Patience is an ally, my friends.

Walking out with a win from San Jose........no matter the circumstance...............is always a good thing. :D

It's nuts because the Hawks certainly haven't played their best hockey on this trip. But 6-2 says otherwise.

i have a feeling that after the break they're going to come back refreshed and return to their dominant ways

also, wins like these (on the road against a good team, blowing a big early lead) are big confidence builders. the sharks beat us up pretty badly for most of the game tonight, but the hawks found a way to sack up at the end and get the W

everything is fine, good night.

For the record, the answer is "probably not"

now it is, please no buzzkill. there will be plenty of time to cut my nipples off when the hawks lose in the playoffs. tonight is for lovers.

Sorry. I should have clarified. I meant the answer to your original post in this thread tonight.

One more stat...

over the last 2 seasons the Sharks are an awesome 50-9-11 at home...only 9 regulation losses in 70 total games. And during that time frame, the Sharks are 0-2-2 against the Hawks in San Jose.

so the hawks have accounted for 20% of the sharks home losses over the past season and a half, and they aren't even in the same division.

pretty awesome

I'd like to thank Dish Network for adding the NHL Network to my package sometime here recently without my knowledge. I enjoyed watching the game last night. Although it did make for a late night.

i wish i could see highlights of the game with the calls from pat and eddie

This. The Sharks announcers weren't bad last night, but nothing beats hearing Foley bellow "HAWKS WIN!"

I didn't realize the Blackhawks had a 17 point lead in the division and are the only team with a positive goal differential.

Hey I am supposed to be saying that about my team!! Hawks are very good, rest of division..not so much

Yeah, I expect Detroit to make a run and get back into the playoff picture, but everybody besides the Hawks are struggling the past month.

Happy realizations like this one are great fun.

Another great thing is how this team has rebounded from a couple pretty shaky losses to win again -- and on the road. They didn't have to return to the United Center to turn it around.
