Now I haven't had a chance to see every game this year, but it seems to me that Jonathan Toews has pretty much been a non-factor so far. Obviously it hasn't been a huge deal, and we all know he'll get things going (and when he does, this team might score 8 goals a game), I just hope he starts showing up on the offensive side soon.

We need better goalie play if we're gonna be more special than last year. Khabi was pretty good when he needed to be last year, I don't see it from Huet yet. And the thing that sucks is we can't go out and get a goalie unless his contract is very short.

Exactly. Don't get me wrong, this offense is phenomenal. But we're only going to go as far as how well Huet plays. I don't like our chances if he's our starting goalie the rest of the season.

 

Hell of a win though. When I got a text saying it was 5-3, I definitely thought we were going to come back and at least salvage a point out of it. It's nice never being out of games with this team.

Huet has been awful so far but we don't need him to be great. I do fear the damage that he may cause us in the playoffs though.

Obviously the deadline market hasn't been set yet. We don't know who might be available and at what cost. But there is no way Bowman lets this team go into the playoffs with Huet as the starter.
