Theriot sucks.

Oh come on. He runs the bases poorly, has no power, plays an awful shortstop, and swings at the rosen bag, but really he doesn't suck. He's more gritty.

I thought this was a Web site for Cubs fans.

It is. But after 34 years of dealing with the same crap over and over again, there comes a certain point in the season where you realize it's not worth getting your hopes up. You don't have to wear a cheerleader outfit and always have a smile on your face in order to be a fan.

I'm a crack head because I still want and expect the Cubs to win? I apologize. I thought this was a Web site for Cubs fans.

Read back to some older Game Threads and you'll see we used to be ra-ra and optimistic. At this point, like someone above said, a lot of us feel this is a realistic approach to take with this team based on what they've shown us since April.

OK, I see your point.

They suck. They're always going to suck.

I'll get with the program.

You don't have to get with any program, feel free to feel however you do about the Cubs. But you might want to consider stop acting like such a jerk.

The Cubs are mediocre. They've been mediocre all year and probably have to make significant changes to not be mediocre next year. I'll reserve judgement about future teams when they get here.

Hernandez: I don't like this, I do not like this. I don't like the game being interfered with.

I don't get how 5 minute tirades by managers are part of the game but reviewing a play to see if it's correct is horrible.

Either way, that wasn't close and there should be a person in the league office who says "no need to review it was foul."

I think if there going to use replay, they should use it for other things. Home runs arent the only time an umpire can change the course of a game with a bad call. It should be like football where they can do it on whatever, but only get a limited amount. I know the game moves slow enough already, but if their going to use replay, thats how it should be.

I'm in favor of manager challenges.

That's the thing that I don't get. The opponents of replay always say how they don't want delays in the game, yet they continue to ignore the fact that the arguments over a close play are going to take just as long.

That's right, jump down my throat because I still cheer for them. Hey, I came here because I thought it was a place where people rooted for the Cubs, not ripped them at every opportunity. My mistake.

It's not that we don't all want this year to end with a parade, it's just we all know it isn't going to. Trust me you should have been here last year. I think it really changed how a lot of us view this team.

Are you not reading anything anyone here is saying? No one is ripping you for cheering for the Cubs. You want to stay positive? Have at it.

You're the one ripping everyone else for not being blindly optimistic.

Well, I didn't appreciate being called a jerk for suggesting that people should cheer for the Cubs instead of rip them.
