I know Im late on this, but are you [expletive] kidding me Illinois? How in the hell can a team have an entire off season to prepare for a game, and then look so [expletive] clueless? Unreal

Apparently they don't have anybody besides Benn who can run more than 15 yards down the field and have a pass throw to them. That was the single most annoying thing watching that game. They never once took a shout down field. The coaching staff is awful based on the lack of adjustments made in game.

Also, Gabbert is good. He's huge, fast and man did he make some really accurate throws, both from the pocket and on roll outs.

Why didn't they just take a knee? They took over with under 3:30, ran three plays to get a first down, and then ran 3 more to get in the endzone. It was unnecessary and classless to keep trying to gain yards after they got the first down.

Was it third string at that point? I don't have any problem with running basic, straight ahead runs to get backup and 3rd string OL and RB some experience.

It was actually our FOURTH running back on the depth chart that did it with a bunch of scrubs on the OL and our third string QB at the helm. They got the ball at 3:28 left in the game and ran 5 straight rushes straight up the middle. The final one happened to get through.

Truth, OMC. The polls are supposed to be an assessment of which teams are the best and in which order, not which teams are good relative to how good we thought they were last week tempered by results from this week. Rarely do people vote like that, though.

That was one of the most enjoyable wins for Mizzou in a while for me anyways. With the high expectations last year, the wins aren't as fun as when nobody expects anything from your team, like in 2007 for Mizzou. This season could be really fun.

The WR's aren't even close to the problem.

Benn's starting to develop a case of being injury-prone, which isn't good at all.

Terrelle Pryor talking about Mike Vick....

Not everybody is a perfect person in the world. Everyone kills people, murder people, steals from you, steals from me, whatever.

Ok.

So we have learned that Pryor should no longer speak in public These are comments I would expect to hear from Ryan Perrilloux.

You can't say they were just running out the clock running dives up the middle and that they were somehow gaining experience from doing so. I'm sure that will really speed up their development.

And unless the yahoo play by play is messed up, they went for a pass on 2nd and 6 immediately before the TD run.

it was a busted draw play on a Memphis blitz. that's why the QB went down with the ball.

There's something vaguely effeminate, even gay, about complaining about RUTS. It's you guys that lead to the ridiculous over protection of QBs and WRs.

lol, I dunno about all that. I just think it's a bit much to bitch about a bunch of scrub third stringers running plays up the middle to run the clock out of a game. If the guy had been tackled and the clock had run out, nobody would have said anything about it.

If you want to gripe about RUTS, look at USC throwing passing TD's in the 4th quarter while up 49-3. Even in that situation it doesn't bother me all too much. The guys on both sides of the ball want to PLAY. I can pretty much guarantee you that nobody on San Jose's defense was begging for mercy. I can't recall ever playing in a baseball game where my team was getting our ass kicked and saying "jeez, I wish they would just weakly ground out on purpose."

Ronnie woo woo was walking around outside the stadium Saturday before the game at Notre Dame. He was in full Cubs uniform carry around a bears helmet. It was a strange site.
