From Bruce's blog on Vitters:

Talked with Oneri Fleita a minute ago. He said that top prospect Josh Vitters "has a little problem" with his left hand" and that the Cubs hope Vitters is back in Dayton's lineup in a couple of days. Vitters hasn't played since last week.

Starlin Castro is leading off in his Tennessee debut. Geovany Soto is batting third and catching.

And, of course, the game hasn't started due to a rain delay.

I am pretty ... searching for the right word ... stoked about Raley's signing. Considering the way it's been reported, it sounds like he's pitching, which gets me a bit more ... stoked. Just fricking awesome. Heck ... in my book, he's probably our top lefty starting potential arm right now (granted, that doesn't mean THAT much ... I like Antigua's upside, but he seems to need a bit more work, and Leverton is a bit smoke and mirrors, while Rusin is steady eddy.)

There's something to be said for having an athletic lefty in the system. Given their love of athletic pitchers and strong scouting presence in Texas, I figured the Cubs would be targeting one of him, Miller, or Wilson in the draft and was quite happy to see the Cubs get him as late as they did.

Brett Jackson hit his first homer for Peoria tonight as well. Archer went 6, scattering 3 hits and 3 walks, to go along with 2 K's.....No runs allowed. The minors are definitely ALOT more interesting to follow now than they were even last year.

Im pumped for Monday when O_O and I go to Peoria. Who should be starting that night?

If there are no rain delays, Aaron Shafer. You miss Archer by a day.

Sunday's my busiest day. I'm either going to be on the road back to Champaign or racing around town all day.
