The Cards were swept by this garbage team last week, and are now on the verge of sweeping 4 straight from the Dodgers.

Do the Stros just play that much better in the Juicy Box?

 

I will never understand this game.

I still don't think he's awful. He'd probably finish the year with an ERA between 5 and 5.25 if he started all season, which is about right for somebody who will likely always be a 6th/7th/8th starter in the majors.

 

What's your definition of awful then if it's not a guy who can't crack a starting rotation?

 

When I'm saying not awful, I'm kind of responding to the thought that the Cubs have to have somebody better than this in the minors. Obviously Hart is not a good MLB starting pitcher. For his role though, Hart is exactly what you expect, maybe even a little bit better. A guy who would be expected to give you a 6 or 7 ERA in that slot would be an awful minor league replacement (and there are several of those around the league).

I don't really expect us to have somebody better because he was really our 8th option to start a game. (The original rotation + Wells + Gaudin then Hart). I just never want to have to see Hart pitch again

The Cardinals have essentially an entirely different offensive layout since they last met the Astros.

Yeah. It always should be applauded when a crappy pitcher gives back 2 runs after we scored 4. What the hell is wrong with you people??

 

So you can either flip out or applaud something, no in between?

 

I think people around here don't realize that the bitching about the bitching is more annoying than the bitching itself.

 

For every game-thread post complaining about the Cubs, there's at least 3 or 4 complaining about that post.

 

People get passionate. I'm one of them. Yes, I've overreacted before, I'll overreact again. It just happens. Either get used to it or ignore me.
