Rosenthal just said Jays asked Angels for Brandon Wood, Erick Aybar, Joe Saunders and a prospect for Halladay.

 

i feel like brandon wood will still be a prospect in 2019.

 

i think the angels will do that... aybar is pretty important to them. not really sure what they want with saunders though; he's already 28 and will have 3 years of service time after this season.

 

I may have misunderstood, but I think Rosenthal said the Angels turned the deal now. Not positive, though.

 

If I were the Blue Jays, I'd wait the Phillies out a bit more.

if they traded both aybar and wood, kendrick woud be their only 2B, figgins would be the only 3B (robb quinlan sucks) and maicer izturis would be their only SS. kendrick was so bad that he was farmed out until early July, figgins hurts his hamstring every season and izturis also tends to get some little injuries. they can give up wood but not aybar; giving away both guys would kill their middle infield depth.

Well, I can't read. I was looking at his minor league numbers on baseball reference and saw that he was in high A - but that was last season.
