I just love the matchup in the Atlanta/Milwaukee game. Both teams were paying tribute to two Negro League teams, the Milwaukee Bears and the Atlanta Black Crackers (later the Crackers). You can't make this crap up. Seeing a team in Milwaukee (or Wisconsin for that matter) wearing a "Bears" jersey was weirdly amusing.

Augie Ojeda doubled and scored as Arizona upped their lead to 4-0. Hell, I thought Augie died 4 or 5 years back... .oh, well.

No, he comes back every year to torture us.

Seriously

Career Numbers: .231/.318/.624

Good lord, 30+ points in batting average and nearly 50 points of OBP.

So we're 0.5 GB St. Louis, 2 ahead in the loss column and they have played 5 more games than us. Which means we'd only have to go 3-2 in those extra games to tie them, 4-1 to be up. Good day for us. Hopefully Harden has a good start and we can take over first tomorrow. St. Louis is headed to LA after this series too so it doesn't get easier.

A year ago today, the Cubs were making their infamous swan dive into a tie with the Brewers for the division lead. After the games on July 25th, the Cubs were just 1 game up in the division. The next day they'd lose and fall into a tie before we all know what happens.

So for all the issues we've had this year, we are only currently 1.5 games further in the division than we were last year. Of course last years team was still 16 games over .500 and this year we are 5 but still.

That was a heck of a 4-game series up in Milwaukee. To be struggling as the team had been and then to head north and sweep like they did against the only competition in the division was just incredible.
