Because hes on a bad, small market team. Look as Ray Halladay. Easilt one of the top 3 pitchers in the game, but the only reason he gets any fn fair is because of trade talks.

Being on a bad small market team didn't stop Zack Greinke from being the most talked about pitcher in the first half and landing on the cover of SI.

 

And Roy Halladay has always gotten plenty of attention.

I think that part of the reason he isn't being hyped is his established history of great first halves followed by second half fades.
