Who the hell is Jeff Baker? I can't believe I didn't notice the Cubs acquiring him.

He's a former Rockies utility infielder. We gave up A ball pitcher Al Alburquerque for him.

Here's the thread in transactions on the trade.

And here's his baseball reference page.

Thanks. Wasn't that kind of an unnecessary trade?

i assume they see him as a platoon partner for Fontenot who can provide a lot more with the bat than Blanco.

They're replaying the game that nearly caused me to die of a heart attack roughly 500,000 times.

Yikes.

Which one?

One of those things that we really gave up nothing of value and got a guy who could be a solid contributer, and if it means the end of the Aaron Miles era, than that alone is worth it.

I dont think this gets in. Oh well, Go Brewers, and hopefully we take care of the Cards and the Dodgers take care of the Brewers.

I think they will wait for quite awhile to get this game in.

Yeah, I wouldn't think that they'd make the Cubs play two DH's in one week.

A rainout wouldn't be the worst thing for this team while the Cubs are stuck using a callup 5th starter and are missing a couple regulars.

Id rather take my chances against Atl, with Kawakami pitching, then having to give up another off day later on, and possibly have to face Vasquez again.
