With the correction I'm back in the running for high score of the week. I still have two more starts: Washburn today and either Happ or Lohse tomorrow. I feel very tempted to use Lohse against the Cubs' offense despite being his first game off the DL.

Wow. I got a no-hitter, but still may not win my game. Can't believe I lose 50 points because of an error. What idiot commits an error after a pitcher throws 7 1/3 perfect? Anybody who commits an error after the 4th when a pitcher is that good should be cut immediately.

But I guess I can't be too mad. I only had Sanchez in the lineup because I traded Carpenter earlier in the week.

What did you do, Todd?

You gave up your 7th start this week to pick up Contreras? Assuming Correia wasn't going to do much for you today?

It seems to me that waivers should run on Sunday night rather than Saturday night, also. Is there a reason we do it that way?

Clerical error on my part. I agree that it should be ran a day later.

We used to run them Sunday night, but not everyone has time/access monday morning to get new players into the lineup for the week before the first game starts that day. We moved the waivers back to Saturday night so that people would have all of Sunday to adjust their lineup.

One thing I like better about Yahoo is that player moves don't actually affect the roster until the day after the move is processed. If that system were available on CBS it would be possible to process waiver claims on Sunday, as we currently do, but they wouldn't affect the roster until Monday. I think that would solve the problem, because you'd have plenty of time to set your lineup for the new week without messing you up in the old week.

In the category of good non-moves, I avoided the temptation of starting Lohse against the Cubs' offense. Starting Happ against the Pirates (as opposed to a real major league team) turned out to be the stronger temptation.

It was fun until the end. The end sucked.

The amazing thing is I had a 40 point lead at one point today.

HELL YES! HIGH SCORE OF THE WEEK! \:D/

This is only the second time in my 4 1/2 years in the league that I've had the high score, so I'm sure as hell gonna boast about it. :D

Is it fair to point out that if I would have actually remembered to use all 7 starts I had this week I would have gotten the high score? :)
