I wonder if Hoffpauir doesn't get sent down. The guy sees extremely limited action as it is. It's nice to have a lefty off the bench, but Fox is mashing and Fontenot is finally getting hot again.

I agree...I don't think it's a foregone conclusion that Hoff is safe..

Ridiculous.

I'm not saying that Hoff SHOULD go, just that it wouldn't shock me if he is sent down

I know. You aren't being ridiculous. Hendry would be.

Why?

Cause it means we will be keeping either Fuld or Patton up. Both of which are not big leaguers.

I would love for Patton to be gone, but it doesn't seem to make much sense for the Cubs to hang on to him for so long and then drop him at this point. Fuld is pretty much a foregone conclusion to me.

3 of 4 from the Brewers....yay!! Maybe some pre-break mojo portends good things for the 2nd half

3 of 4 from the Cards and we will be right were we need to be.

Jake looked so happy like he believed he earned his right to stay (which he did), but we'll see how this shakes out.

Did anyone catch when they showed the Brewers record their first 15 games, and it said 4-9? Lol TBS.

I'm starting to get excited about this team again...I don't like that...

As long as they don't revert to their previous suckiness and keep this kind of play up, I don't mind.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the Cubs can go at least 5-2 going into the break. It'd be a huge boost for this team, especially with Rammy and Johnson getting healthy. Taking 3 of 4 from the Brewers is a great step in the right direction, but this team needs to get into gear for the long haul.

I wouldn't be shocked with a winning record at least to finish the half. We've played great at home.

nice of Lilly to laugh as he said hopefully the NL wins the ASG so the Cubs will have home field advantage for the World Series

honestly why would that reporter ask Lilly if he is similar to Mark Buehrle? I loved Ted's initial answer "Well we're both left handed."

It would have been better had Lilly said, " Who's Mark Buehrle?"

That was great when Maddux said it, but now it would just seem like people are copying him.
