You can't sacrifice games to get one or two guys at bats

Are you talking about Soriano or Fuld?

Soriano and Bradley actually

I don't dislike Bradley, I just dislike the way he's played most of the season... I root for him every time.... and right now would be a good time for a hit.

I'm not one to usually go along with these types of theories, but I'm becoming more and more convinced Bradley simply does not have the mental makeup to play for a big market team. He's just going to press too damn hard.

Possibly. He looks so edgy this at bat, and these pitches are terrible.

Plain and simple if this team is going to win the division, its going to be because Bradley and Soriano start hitting, not because of Sam [expletive] Fuld

So games are being sacrificed if Sam Fuld does not start?

And when he's getting stuff that he should easily destroy, and has feasted on often over his career, he's just fouling them off or hitting weak grounders.

He has definetely been pressing,new team,big contract,slow start,struggling at home,batting 3rd, etc.

Going to Pittsburgh and dropping down in the lineup was helpful though.

This is where I miss Reed Johnson

Baker has good numbers vs Leftys in his career also. Granted hard telling how much Coors has helped inflate those numbers but hes still got the numbers

Why are people not alowed to get excited about having a good leadoff hitter, even if it has only been for 2 games while Sorianos been absolute trash for 2 months straight?

Because its pretty likely that he's not the long term answer so why get excited about being teased?

I don't think anyone believes he's a long term solution, but you have to ride the hot bat. Waiting around and hoping Sori gets hot could cost this team the season.

Its not about being "the answer" or getting teased, its that Fuld has given us 2 steller games, while Soriano has done nothing. Just ride the hot streak out and let Soriano rest his knees.
