Len and Bob, like us, are just exaseperated. Ron's going to start screaming real soon as well. I do feel Lou is not getting through to this team and it's translating to the on field suckage.

Something needs to be done like yesterday.

I refuse to believe any team, even suckers like the Nationals, are worse to watch than the Cubs

all I have to do is point to the 8th inning

It's hard to score runs when your leadoff hitter has an on base percentage of less than .300; could anyone else really be worse?

Their problems scoring go WELL beyond Soriano at this point.

He is the number one culprit. You have a leadoff hitter who NEVER and I mean NEVER ignites a rally to start a game.

The best thing to happen to this organization would be a disastrous plane crash with the entire front office, management, coaches and players on board. Not that I would be happy, but in the long term, it would be better for everyone.

I know it's been bad, but let's please not wish for injury or death.

Oh, certainly not wishing it, but that's about the only way that they could get out of these contracts and terrible management.

I've been saying that for a while now here, and when he does snap out of it for short periods of time, the results are good.

I can't even remember the last time he "snapped out of it", other than a few gap and bloop hits.

Soriano is hardly the "#1 culprit" for this team's offensive woes. He's been awful, but he's not causing the other players to crap the bed with runners on or in scoring position, which IS actually the number one culprit as to why their offense stinks.

What about the leadoff hitter for the other 8 innings tonight that "NEVER" ignited a rally?

Two words: Eighteen million.

That's the very real concern. He always had his cold streaks but usually they lasted like two or three weeks, tops. He's been awful for over a month now.

Two more words: Sunk cost. His contract makes his problem one of the hardest problems to fix. What does his salary have to do with where he hits in the lineup?

They also don't hit all that well with the bases empty and have an allergic reaction to extra base hits and homers

Those are probably bigger culprits. Soriano just get the most at bats and has been really bad with them.

They don't hit well, period.
