Again, I thought we were done with Neifi Perez types on the Chicago Cubs. Jim Hendry really missed big time on that one.

I assumed that he wouldn't be all that good. I never imagined he would be this bad. At least Neifi had a little power and could play adequate defense at multiple positions.

 

And...there goes the lead.

Dempster is basically Jason Marquis this year. He's 5th starter material who can have a decent game from time to time.

TOP OF THE FOURTH INNING

 

Jaramillo doubled to left center field

Jaramillo took third base on a wild pick off throw, E1

Wilson blooped a single to right field , Jaramillo scored

Maholm sacrificed, 2-4, Wilson to second

Morgan flied out to center field

Sanchez homered to left field , Wilson scoered

McClouth struck out swinging

Dempster is basically Jason Marquis this year. He's 5th starter material who can have a decent game from time to time.

Sad that I'd rather have Jason Marquis at this point. Our future looks really bleak with all these pitful contracts we have on this roster from Alfonso Soriano to Ryan Dempster to Aaron Miles.

Milton Bradley has a pretty sweet deal as well.
