So I'm throwing out the ceremonial first pitch on Wednesday.

Any tips?

Don't bounce it and throw it from the mound, not in front of the mound.

May I ask why you are so fortunate?

Go Rookie of the Year on them and nail a 98 mile per hour bullet in the strike zone and wait for your contract offer. In the event that you don't have the ability to throw 98 MPH, do what everyone else is saying.

Our local minor league team had a gulf war vet throwing out the first pitch at Cub Scout night a couple years ago along with some other people. The other people all threw the usual lollipops from in front of the mound. The Vet it turns out had pitched in college and the catcher was really surprised when he threw an 85 mph fastball down the middle.

Plus I get two $85 tickets. I have looked at it as paying $330. An amount I am more than happy with.

You realize you have to throw a strike now, or you'll never live it down. And there will probably be pictures to preserve the moment.

No pressure. ;)

Seriously, though, how awesome is that? Good luck!

Weather doesn't look to positive tomorrow...hopefully you get to do it. Will they reschedule if the game gets rained out?
