I think it's about time we give our boy Miles a day or 50 off

He's got to be on pace for like 450 PA by now, no? Sure that's because he had to fill-in while Ramirez was out, but that's been the problem all along. They got the guy and he's going to play a lot, and he sucks.

Did Lee strain his neck again?

No, the regulars that sat yesterday are in there, while the regulars that played yesterday (Lee, Fukudome and Fontenot) are resting. Miles moves from SS to 2B, Hoffpauir moves from LF to 1B, and Johnson replaces Gathright. Fun times.

I wonder if this is something Lou is going to do a lot this year (sitting all the starters once in a 2 game span). I was kinda excited to see Ramirez come back so we could see the 100% lineup for the first time in awhile, but so far I haven't seen one with Soriano, Theriot, Fukudome, Ramirez, Lee, Bradley, Soto, Fontenot in it yet.

Those other two are sitting because it's a lefty, no?

He's on pace for 472 PAs

Pretty much what most of us suspected. One way or another, Miles will get his ABs, and that's a net negative.

Chad Fox is with the team right now, and there's a possible roster move tonight (probably Samardzija back to Triple A).

That move was confirmed, as mentioned in Transactions.

In an offseason full of terrible, terrible moves, signing Aaron Miles was the worst. I hate Aaron Miles.

So how many more days until we see the opening day lineup again? I am thinking it won't show itself until maybe the middle of June.

I don't have any problem whatsoever with giving the occasional regulars a day off here and there, but throwing the forfeit lineup out there against the reigning Cy Young winner is just stupid, IMO. Why not stagger them? Ramirez gets a day off one day, then the next day is Lee, then Bradley, then Fukudome, etc.

It sucks that Lee is hurt again after starting to heat up but anything that gives Hoffpauir more ABs is a good thing.

It's too bad Hoff can't play 3rd so he could spell Rammy every now and then, and also give us one less reason to have Aaron Miles on this team.

One less than zero?

Yes. We will have -1 reasons to have him here.

I bet Reed Johnson gets ahead and then swings at some pitches no where near, striking out.
