Tisdale went for 32? Was Northwestern playing man most of the game? I just saw the last two minutes and now OT. Davis was eating them up in man when Tisdale wasn't.

 

Kendall Gill after Nash fouled Richardson shooting a 3: "If I'm Jeremy Nash I do not fould Richardson in this situation." As if it was by intent or there are any situations where you would want to foul a 3 point shooter.

anybody catch that last out of bounds call off of davis? the etiquette is generally if you have position and a guy comes up from behind you and knocks the ball out of bounds or causes you to lose control, it goes to the team that had position. no such luxuries tonight at HOME for ILLINOIS.

 

but i don't take much pleasure in this win, NW are a bunch of chuckers with one guy who can play. they're bound to get depantsed in big ten play.

Uh, NU shot horribly. 28 of 84 from the floor for 33% and 34% from beyond the arc. Illinois was the team that shot 50%.

 

That was easily one of the worst performances since the beginning of last year. Just terrible. Maybe 2nd only to the game at Minnesota last year. They had no idea how to run the offense and the defense was an open gate. No idea how they stayed in the game.

I didn't look at the stats but NU was draining from three in the first half. The aggregate effect of all those three's falling was quite frustrating.
