You know, I wonder if the layout of the new stadium is part of the reason why the scores are typically higher. Just seems like the balls that are being hit out, would be a routine pop-fly. Wonder if there's a jet-stream factor or something out there in a already short RF fence.....

well the jet stream is about 8 to 10 miles above the surface, so that's probably not it.

I thought the fences were the same at the new park? Isn't the only difference was the slight shrinkage of the foul territory behind home plate?

RF was always very short at the old Yankee stadium.

I'm surprised my dad hasn't called me to ask if I saw him on Sportscenter. For an HR guy, my dad gets entirely too excited about the on-air talent at AccuWeather

Those who say new Yankee Stadium is a home run box believe it's because the design of the stadium causes a slight wind tunnel that wasn't at the old stadium.
