Seriously, how many guys in baseball are scarier to face in that spot than Aramis Ramirez? I'm betting less than 10.

Easily the most underrated RBI guy in all of baseball, and has been for several years now.

So I left after Marmol got out of the 7th...didn't come back till the 10th... can someone explain what happened in the 8th? Did Lou bring Marmol out and he gave up a run? Gregg give up an inherited runner?

Marmol gave up back to back doubles and a HBP and Gregg got out of the jam.

Ah. Nice. Thanks.

I just flipped over to MLBN, and they had a commercial for their Thursday game of the week and it's got Len going "Oh Baby" in it. So now the end of that game feels complete.

I dunno, I feel like most everyone knows how good Aramis is. He's very good and elite for his position.

Cubs, not playing very well, have still managed to take 2 of 3 from the Cardinals. Tell me how they won't bury them when they start playing well.

Everyone except maybe Sox fans, who think Crede >>>>> Aramis.

I think he's properly rated overall, but no one talks about how frightening he is in the big spots. He has more big hits the last few years than I can even remember.

Just think Geo and Bradley have 2 hits combined.

Seriously. I try not think about the term "clutch," but Aramis is as close as it gets to making me believe that clutch actually exists.

Is Crede still on the Sox?

Did MLB Network really just skip out on showing the Aramis walkoff for Indians and Manny Ramirez highlights?

Hope you guys don't think I was trolling. It was just a playful jab at those who take offense to celebrating walkoff wins.

It's cool. The mods know you mean well. :D

So can someone give me cliff notes on things you notice during the game? (key events, Neal Cotts not throwing strikes, how we did with RISP, etc.) I got the text updates for scoring plays, but I'm sure there was more to it than the scoring.

Didn't watch but I saw the highlights and listened to the whole game...

We did a good job hitting with 2 outs today. Come to think of it, we scored all but one of our runs with 2 outs, that being a little nubber by Miles that we got lucky on.

Patience continues to be a key, the bullpen outside of Cotts looked really good. Marmol and Gregg both got out of 2 on, 0 out situations. Gregg was especially impressive.
