CubinNY's vendetta against him is pretty great, too.

Not as great as the worship of others, though.

No one here thinks Lake doesn't have the ability to put up a solid season in the majors. He does, hell, he's kind of done it already. Where people see value in North's posts, are that he got lucky in doing it, without much hope of turning that luck into actual skill.

I think he's got a relatively decent shot at putting up a 2 WAR season in 2014. But if he does, I want to see him dealt, because the odds show he's not likely to do it often.

Agreed.

I know I just kind of mentioned it, but seriously, what are we gonna do with all these infielders? One of the reasons I hope Olt tears it up in spring and wins an MLB job is because I have no idea what to do with him otherwise. Villanueva will be ready for AAA, and I'm pretty sure you can't play two third basemen. One could DH or play first, I suppose. Also, Bryant could be knocking on the AAA door very quickly. You could always play him in the OF, but that's a lot of 3Bs still, not even considering the the 3 potential shortstops and two potential second basemen between AAA and the bigs. It's gonna be wild.

We talked about it somewhere else, but given that there's no one else needing time at 1B or DH, and that Villanueva and Olt are both pretty polished defensively, it's not really a problem even if Olt doesn't make the big league team. Bryant could complicate that, but he's also someone who could get some OF reps, plus Olt/Villanueva could be moving up when he hits Iowa too.

@JimCallisMLB Skinniness is concern but ceiling = frontline SP. Unhittable fastball. @ZachWithers: What is the ceiling for CJ Edwards? @Cubs

@JimCallisMLB Some concerns about whether he gets back to where he was pre-beaning. @ronattack: Mike Olt the forgotten man? @Cubs #mlbpipeline

@JimCallisMLB Capable at 3B, but yes, think he moves with Baez to 3B. @PKJM887: Do you think Bryant moves to the outfield then? @Cubs #mlbpipeline

Baez at 7, put them on the list

Twitter tells me Lindor at 10, no? Don't play me like that Callis, you were doing so well with the Edwards love.

Who has more power, you or him? @KrisBryant_23: Javier Baez at #7! I think we all know how good he is! @javy23baez #power #MLBpipeline

Kris Bryant ‏@KrisBryant_23

@jimcallisMLB @javy23baez it's a tie! Haha

Lol come on now, it's boegarts #2. I was a little dissapointed in Baez at 7 and the fact they glossed over him. They did actually talk about CJ Edwards, Almora, and Bryant. Compared to last year it was nice to not have them completely gloss over all of our prospects. :)

By the way top 100 is in and we have SEVEN!! Woot! Alcantara and Johnson smooth out our top 7 and Johnson just made it at #100. Lol. And I was pleasantly surprised to see Edwards crack the top 50 at #42. I figured MLB would have him somewhere in the 60s or 70s.

Ha, I was coming here to post North's post on Olt and saw the top of this page and was like LOL

I think Bryant has the charisma and character to be the face of the Cubs. This isn't the first time he's been humble and propped others up. At the prospect camp or whatever it was a bit back he talked about the fans expectations of the prospects but he talked up the major league team, saying there are a lot of guys doing a great job right now.

<3 this man's attitude.

The top prospects all seem to be pretty close. They all follow each other on Twitter. They seem to worship Baez. Almora has raved about him on Twitter. Vogelbach tweets to/about the top guys also.

Paul Sullivan ‏@PWSullivan 2m

Baez, Bryant, Hendricks, Almora all receive Cubs' spring invites, as expected. http://bit.ly/1jKoOow

Before anyone asks, Soler is on the 40 man so he doesn't need one.

I thought Sullivan was done reporting on the Cubs. I was hoping to not read anything from him his year.

I think he's just sort of generally covering baseball now
