Lineup according to the Sun-Times twitter:

Lineup if they play: sori, theriot, fuku (rf), lee, font, johnson (cf), miles (2b), hill, lilly

Ramirez out with a sore back, Bradley feels better.

I didn't even know Fontenot played 3rd base.

He does now.

He played there all spring, and Lou said he was the primary back up at 3rd. With Bradley, Soto and now Ramirez all day to day I really hope this game gets rainned out. If we play tomorrow Ramirez and Soto might be able to play, and Bradley could maybe be back Wednesday.

It looks like he played 62 games in the minors at 3B, with 9 errors and a fielding percentage of .933. Doesn't exactly fill you up with confidence on a rainy, wet day.

I would also replace Reed with Hoffpauir against a righty, and make the lineup like this:

Soriano, Fuku, Lee, Hoffpauir, Fontenot, Theriot, Hill, Miles, Lilly

It's actually the kind of day where you let Gathright get a start. With the wind howling in, it's a good day to try to generate runs without power.

Or not. It would be even better if they just cut him, but whatever.

It's a great day to play 2. Sunny, clear and 75 degrees as I look out my window. Let's get this game in.

Wow, 25 years since that magical '84 team. My first year as a Cubs fan. Then the Padres had to rip my heart out!! :banghead: I still hate the Padres for that.

That clip with Jody Davis, Sutcliffe, Moreland, Durham and some other guy singing, was classic. That's the first time I've ever seen that.

Thankfully, I was only 3 when that happened. But, I have my 1984. It was in 2003.

Ublado is Spanish for ugly. No, it's true.

The Cubs are going to go Ublado on Colorado and score 12 runs today.

Go Cubs!

That's an ugly lineup we're trotting out there today. I really wish our bench was better.

I don't know. A bench of Soto, Ramirez, Bradley, Hoffpauir looks pretty solid.

Ron Cey.

He seemed too tall to be Cey. Maybe it was.
