it looks like the worst of it will go through before the game starts. I have to believe they'll do their best to get the game in,but then again the Sox didn't. Hopefully the field is OK. My guess is that it gets postponed an hour and played today...but I'm a really optimistic person.

just wondering, based on what? all the forecasts i've seen show rain all day. is it just going to be a lot lighter later on?

Hendry is on with Waddle and Silvy. Just said that if the weather was looking better for tomorrow they might've made a decision already. They're waiting on another update at 11 from their weather people at the airport, but there's a chance there's going to be a window to get the game in later on today.

Based on a couple radar pictures I've seen and the % chance of rain diminishing at 2. Yeah, its probably not going to be great, but the worst of it will hopefully be gone by gametime or soon thereafter.

a quarter on an inch? maybe i read that wrong but that's nothing. I got almost two inches of rain yesterday here and it seemed like nothing

It ain't much when it's putting out fires. ;)

We'll probably hear in a half an hour.

I think he was asking about some fires which I haven't heard a thing about. Shows how much I pay attention to non-sports news. Sad, really.

basically Oklahoma wants to be like California and have some massive wildfires. The fires have consumed over 350,000 acres, 220 homes, and killed at least two people. Apparently they are coming to an end now but they could restart if the conditions worsen. There's your news update david

It didn't happen on one of the coasts, so it's not newsworthy.

Sounds like they're still holding out hope. They think the system will move out of here. Pretty much guaranteed to be delayed, though.

Sure is nice to be a fifteen minute walk or one train stop away so I can wait this out. Would suck if I were still in the suburbs.

Well it sucks to live in the suburbs for a whole lot more than this...

It's 11:28 a.m., CDT, as I write this. I live in Joliet, southwest of the city, and it's still raining here, but it should be ending within 15 minutes, so I'd say a good 1-2 hrs. of rain left for the North Side. Can they push it back to 3?

I just saw a commercial with a lady complaining that she had to re-use catheters....how in God's name to people watch TV during the middle of the day?
