CHICAGO, April 10, 2009 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- The all-new Horseshoe Casino, just 20 minutes from downtown Chicago, is excited to announce a new presence at Wrigley Field. Horseshoe will reveal their new left-field rooftop billboard at the Chicago Cubs home opener on Monday, April 13. The vinyl will be installed beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 11.

"Horseshoe is excited to be a part of historic Wrigley Field for the 2009 season," notes Joe Branchik, Vice President of Marketing, Horseshoe Casino, "and are anxious to be a welcomed addition." "The Chicago Cubs have continued to maintain a long-standing commitment to tradition and dedication to the great city of Chicago. Horseshoe strives to do just that, as tradition and dedication to service are a few of our core values as well - it was a natural fit." Horseshoe Casino looks forward to Chicago Cubs fans embracing the new creative addition to the ballpark atmosphere.

To support the additional Wrigleyville billboard announcement, Horseshoe has expanded their free shuttle services to and from Horseshoe on opening day. The Wrigleyville shuttles run from Yak-Zies bar on 3710 N. Clark Street every hour, on the hour from 3:00 p.m. to Midnight. For more information, please visit www.horseshoehammond.com.

I saw this getting put on yesterday and it was kinda interesting. It's a black sign with horseshoe written in gold. It'll be different, that's for sure.

This kinda sucks actualy, the Budweiser rooftop has been there forever. It's prescence was so dominant in fact, that it was included in most MLB video games if you chose to play at Wrigley. :(

Yeah, but it still doesn't bother me. They changed the Budweiser sign in sept/oct last year anyway and made it blue with the word "drinkability" on it. Now it's just something new for the dude who owns that building to probably make more money off of.

The only sign I care about/miss is Torco.

Come back, mysterious Torco.

As a kid in the pre-internet days, Torco was an enigma. It was just there, yet symblized nothing.

Yeah, I remember that. What the hell was that, anyway?

I haven't seen a thread about this yet, and didn't want to start one, but since we're on the topic of changes around Wrigley, in addition to the Captain Morgan Club, the upper deck balcony is sponsored by Smirnoff, and we are going to have "rolling liquor carts" around the park.

Yup. Captain and Pepsi and Vodka Lemonades will be new additions to the drink menu.

Was thinking the same exact thing. I think it was Earl Weaver Baseball 2 that had the sign in the game, I thought it was the most realistic thing ever.

Probably because they won't be allowed to play with Ernie Bank's grandkids.
