I've got ARod on the shelf, Lackey's elbow is fubar, Gio Gonzalez is demoted. How is everyone else doing to start the year?

You forgot about Carlos Gonzalez, who got the boot over a week ago.

Other than the fact Ian Stewart doesn't seem to have a real position to play everyday, I can't complain about my team.

Actually, that worked out well for me. Now I can promote Snider and play him at U. My concern was that they'd dick around with Carlos in a platoon role where I couldn't stash him, but couldn't play him, either.

I really need Boston to decide what to do with Buchholz. He's earned a rotation spot this spring, but is being blocked by the rotting remains of Brad Penny. I'll be thrilled if they stick Clay in the rotation. I'll be fine with sending him down and freeing up a reserve spot for Kawakami. But right now they have him in purgatory.

that's ok as long as they're pitchers adam.

Which of Raisin's reserves should I drop for him since he can't get his roster legal?

I've got no issues with my roster right now, and the Pablo Sandoval pick really has the potential to pay off!

You're welcome.

So anyway, can I toss Devine on the injured list before next week, even though he won't technically be on the DL until then? It would be to my advantage to actually put someone who will pitch in that spot (well...most likely).

You only lose him if he doesn't get put on the DL, so he doesn't actually have to be officially DL'd to put him there.

I feel safe in the assumption that any visit to Dr. James Andrews is as good as a trip to the DL.

My team looks to be pretty healthy. Of course, I have Kinsler, Tulo, Drew, Carpenter, and Wainwright who all missed at least a month of last season. Four of the 5 missed about 1/2 the season.

So what I'm hearing is that mine is the only team that's really fubar to start the year.

I think that's a safe assumption; the only question is how long his DL stay will be.

Why would it be too early when I'm going to start the year with ARod + Lackey on the shelf?

The only one I have hurt is Glaus, but I did benefit from an early promotion today as far as picking up and stashing Ryan Perry and hope he sticks and becomes the closer.

Whoever has Porcello (who was also called-up) is probably not as happy.

Devine to the 60-day DL, Ichiro to the 15-day DL, Dukes the odd man out in Washington, and Bailey sent to the minors (again). Good start.
